Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Lake at such a height with beautiful surroundings make it unique otherwise its just a small lake with not so clean water. The view of lake with town as backdrop is very beautiful when taken from the hill top. The whole surrounding with contrasting shades of sky, mountains and lake is surreal.

It’s just like any other lake, if you cant make it nothing great you will miss.
It’s in the middle of the Nako village and one has to climb down a few steps to reach here.

Its a small lake and we sat by it for a long time doing nothing. The backdrop is very beautiful. Its a few minutes walk from the Nako village. Has a government stay adjacent to it, however Nako has homestays and a hotel too. There are a few eateries in Nako.
Sharing some pics clicked at the lake, month was July, weather clear.

Located at a height of around 3700 meters above sea level, the Nako Lake is a high altitude lake in Nako village in the Hangrang Valley of the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The lake is surrounded by willow and poplar trees. The lake though small is considered very sacred by the locals.
