The clean water of this lake (supposed to be world's top largest) mesmerizes you after a long long drive to reach here. The roads are now very good, courtesy Border Roads Org (BRO) and time taken is a lot less. Only 30% of lake lies in India whereas remaining 70% belongs to China and hence there's lot of security out... More

The lake has become crowded after 3-Idiots. Nevertheless, its beauty is still intact. The vibrant blue color is still in our eyes. One could just sit and keep gazing at the lake and the birds. There are couple of restaurants around where you can get all sort of food. Price is a bit on the higher side but that's alright.... More

Awesome, beyond words! Visited in Dec., not a soul for kms, enjoyed the quite walk along the lake and the changing colors. Gets really cold, specially in areas it is windy, worth every minute you take to travel. Journey from Leh is interesting too.

The most beautiful place ever!!! A long trip via ChangLa pass but at the end of it..the view is totally mesmerising....Limited facilities..but that's ok as the eco system is so fragile..would be great if tourists understand this and not dirty the place and abuse the environment..Loud groups singing away in the night can spoil the tranquility..Expect awesome views, simple amenities..simple... Pangong Tso is a very remote place, yet very beautiful one. Roundtrip from Leh is a whole day journey, so if you have time, stay overnight in the Pangong Inn. Bring extra warm clothes, because it tends to get really windy and chilly, way below freezing temperatures. Take a walk along the shore and take some amazing pictures.

Several things left me aweinspiring about pangong Tso. The first thing that kept me amazed was its length, running several hundred miles bordering India and China, though vast majority of the lake is present in Chinese territory. The blueish shimmering glamour nestled among on the shades of brownish mountains at an altitude of 4500 meters is typically a visual treat for... More

It is truly beautiful to see the sapphire blue water of The Pangong Tso. It's always cold here even during summer, nights especially are bone chillingly cold so do carry extra woolens while visiting this place. Note: - When visiting please do not litter the place. Travel responsibly!

I visited Leh with my husband in June 2016. Leh should definitely be one your bucket list. However, I would suggest please don't go there with your kids (too young). Coming back to Pangong lake. What beauty! The clear the sky becomes the more scenic the lake looks. We also passed by the Changla Pass while going there. It is... More
