The Bangalore Palace was the private residence of the royal Wodeyar family. Built to resemble Windsor Castle, this quirky palace is filled with an interesting and eclectic collection of art and paraphernalia from a bygone era. The palace grounds are a popular venue for rock concerts and other music events.

A private property /palace of Mysore kings who have now opened it for public display..the entry fees for an Indian per person is INR 230/- plus INR 685/- for a still camera...first such historical property who is charging such a hefty amount..Audio tour talks brief history more self glorification...so beware of charges before visiting. Staff in the property are rude... More

Was the only visitor when I arrived to see this Palace which is still privately owned. But very sad now. In need of some loving attention and money. It must have been magnificent in its heyday. With big parties and many celebrated visitors. You can see an huge number of black and white pictures of what life was like. Very... More

Very catchy place because of great old architecture. The interesting story beside this palace. And also they have a small park outside that. But it's overpricing.

Once you reach this place, you will feel like one has reached in some Victorian Era palace from the exterior looks. The Palace has a old English feel to it. The tickets are a bit costly considering the audio guide. Inside the palace, the best place for me was main sitting area. The Authorities need to keep it more clean.... More

Located approximately 5 km away from SBC station, this is a one of the iconic monuments , Bengaluru or Banglore is known for. It can be easily visited via three wheeler or bus, though the bus from Kempegowda bus terminal also known as Majestic Bus terminal , but bus service is very erratic so its better to take auto to... After coming from Rajasthan, I really did not have too much expectations from palaces elsewhere. Bt this one took my breath away ! If you go on a good weather day, it looks straight out of the K3G type of movies! A must must visit for all visiting the city for work/ chilling. Take a tour inside!

Small Palace as compared to the Magnificent Mysore Palace, but very well managed. Tickets are bit overpriced, however the audio guides are so informative and meticulous with history and relevance of each and every corner of the palace, it makes your visit a must if you are a history and arts and architecture buff.

Admission price with audio guide is just over 1000 rupees for 2 non national adults. Then, another 685 rupees if you want to use your camera. The palace needs a good clean and some of the artefacts do not belong there.
