The beach is located at a place where we have to cross the river in a speed boat or a steamer boat. You will find some white coloured Jelly Fish like creatures in that river. Yet the river view is good and the beach forest is a spot for photographers not to miss.

If you are visiting you should do this trip.. there isn't much in the building itself but most of it is in the view and a boat ride across the river.. you should be able to get to the beach after..

There's very little left of the 18th century fortifications at the northern end of Mangalore, the remnants of a fortified tower. Worth visiting to get a view of the river and the land across the river, several ferries can take you across. Two small cafes and a bit of a beach, plus the usual 'souvenir' stalls selling the same unwanted... More

Nothing to write about for Sultan battery itself. It is just a small circular watch tower with 30 stairs to climb. The view from top is OK. A ferry runs every 15 mins from this place to Tannirbavi beach costing Rs.5/- per person for a 3 minute ride. The ferry ride itself is good and you can reach the beach... More

Average place not properly maintained. Scope is there to maintain. But from here you can go by boat to tannirbavi beach.
