A unique and beautiful experience. We were on a one bedroom houseboat captained by John and food cooked by Gobi (our nickname) We chose to add an extra night and we're so happy we did. The houseboat is called 'Nest' and it's owned by Evergreen Tours. The quality of the boat was similar to a 4star Nike cruise boat. John... More

Very conveniently, we went on board the houseboat from the hotel we were staying at by the lake. It was a bit well worn and the deck was overcrowded. It takes 6 people so there was a large table and 6 chairs on deck, but only 2 of us. No recliners and the chairs weren't comfortable. The room was basic... More

I went on a backwater tour with a group of friends and the most interesting part was seeing how rope is made (honestly it's really cool!), but apart from that once you've seen the same view for hours on end it gets a little dull. So it's not awful or anything but the seats are super uncomfortable and packed into... More

Terrible would be an under statement for the experience we had in JCT houseboat in Allepey. Rooms are clumsy.Bedcovers n pillow covers were smelly.Bathroom was the worst.Only 1 towel and 1 medimix soap was provided. Food is equivalently horrible... So overall very bad expericence at very high cost. Totally not worth the money

The houseboat was superb. Very nice and calming, just sitting on a luxury boat and enjoying the nature and peacefulness.
