We had this booked for many months. It is titled a SHORE EXCURSION. One day before the tour the operator advised us the Spice Plantation visit was being eliminated, the included lunch was eliminated, the price remained the same. It was alleged there was insufficient time to do the offered tour. The ship times in port were never changed. We found a taxi right at the port that took us on the entire itinerary including the Spice Plantation and the lunch at the Spice Plantation. We arrived back at the pier two hours before ship departure. It took additional communications with Trip Advisor to get a full refund as we were not notified of the changes until inside the 24 hour cancellation window.

We have booked many tours through Trip Advisor over the years with great results. All three tours we booked for our time in India were significantly downgraded at the last minute (2 tours) and our full day trip from New Delhi to Agra was cancelled.

We have just returned from a fantastic cruise on Celebrity Millennium enhanced by the very interesting and informative tours set up for us by Lijo Jose at Muziris Heritage tours. For every tour, we were met as we stepped off the ship and greeted by our friendly guides. Most of our tours were just for our group of four and the tour guides ensured we saw what we wanted to see. No request was too much trouble for them. We used Muziris Heritage for every port that we visited in India and we were not disappointed. We will certainly recommend them to anyone we know who is planning to visit India.

I booked this trip from the UK so was a little concerned but need not have worried. Everything worked perfectly from credit card payments to on time pickup and drop off. The houseboat was clean and comfortable and provided an excellent lunch. A special thank you to my driver/ guide Ranjith who came with me on the boat and was good and knowledgable company.

Reliable and good excursion company in Mumbai. Good communications during booking from uk for an excursion during a cruise visit in Mumbai. Provided good reasonable mini coach as a group tour We booked individually from uk and were put in a group on day. Happy.
They were waiting for us at the pier as advised. Good. Picked up and dropped off back at pier on time.
We paid on day on coach. Quick and easy card payment. Lijo was present even though he was also in Cochin 2 days prior for the Cochin excursions for our ship.
That’s dedication to customer service.

I would use again if ever travelled to Mumbai or Cochin

A great overview of the main sights in Mumbai. Probably most memorable were seeing the open laundry and the dabbawala lunchbox service point. The market and the railway station along with a short trip on a train were also good. Our tour guide spoke fluent English and was very knowledgeable.

Fabulous experience. Our guide on both days Richi was fabulous, he was informative but also very amusing and looked after us extremely well. We did the highlights of Cochi tour on the afternoon of arrival and the house boat tour on the backwaters of Allepo on the following day. Unfortunately due to immigration we were very late leaving the ship and were not able to do the harbour tour but still managed to see most of the highlights of Cochi and the very famous Chinese fishing nets which was what I really wanted to see. The following trip, the house boat tour of the backwaters of Allepo was wonderful. Very relaxing watching the villagers as we passed by. The lip inch in the tori was excellent and the houseboats were fabulous. Would highly recommend Lijo Jose and his tours, we were looked after very well, tours returned back to the ship on time and were very well organised with small groups. Air conditioned buses and gret guides.

Great tour. We were picked from the dockside and taken in a comfortable small bus to Allepe where we got onto a boat to tour the backwaters. The drive there was fascinating as we drove through villages along the way and passed a number of processions, this being the season of festivals for the Catholic Churches in the area. We had a beautiful lunch of rice, curried fish and other delights. After sailing on the backwaters we were then taken back to Cochin. On the way back we stopped off to see some Chinese fishing nets in operation by local fishermen and then stopped off at a market and at the oldest synagogue still open in Cochin, before going back to the ship.
The only thing you need to be aware of is that it is a long drive to Allepe (over one and a half hours).

We recently returned from a 22 day cruise on the Azamara Quest.
The stateroom was great and the staff were 5 star.
Unfortunately the food was what not remembered from previous cruises .
It all felt that the company was cutting corners on cost of food which was pretty cheap.
We spent £18000 for a 22 day cruise and the food was three star and never saw any lobster.
Not good enough
Never again

The boat ride itself was very idyllic and relaxing, with a good of the slow lifestyle along the backwaters. The boat was also surprisingly stable and did not create any problems at all for someone with motion sickness. The staff on the boat was also very hospitable, and prepared an amazing meal. Tourists from Kochi need to take note, though, that the car drive may take about 2h+ each way (if traffic is as we've encountered) from your hotel to Alleppey. Other than the length of the car drive (which we have to commend the driver for his focus and driving skills), all was good.

It was a beautiful and peaceful boat ride down the river with gorgeous scenery. The food was delicious and they were very attentive. Mr lali was a huge help in getting us to our tour.
