Nice to place to go and hang out with during evening. However maintenance is required and more options to eat around the place

Even though it is called Chinese Fishing Net, the noun Chinese is debatable as the historians suggest that this Fishing net has been bought by the Portuguese who were influenced from Chinese fishing net in Macau (former Portuguese colony). It is recommended to see the...More

The process is really neat to witness, but man, the beach is filthy. I was so distracted by the litter. There are many other opportunities to see the nets in action elsewhere that I wouldn't spend more than 10 minutes there.

If you go to Kochi, you must visit the fort and watch groups of people catching fish using the Chinese Fishing Nets. It is so simple, yet so effective. Whenever I was seeing the fishing net in TV of in Kerela during my previous trips,...More

Having seen these on TV it was a must to see for ourselves. Just a wonder how it all works so smoothly really. For a small amount of money you can even help to operate one, Certainly a once in a lifetime thing to do.

Great location at fort kochi... great to know how these nets work. There is a small fish market also here and is great.

You won't find Chinese fishing nets any where else. It's thrilling to see fishing there. But surroundings are not clean and stench of fish prevails everywhere.

It's a good opportunity to visit and know the way fishing is done. You can see locals using these big nets and catching their lot of fish. The area is little messy and dirty (for obvious reason that it is a fishing site) Good to...More

Chinese finishing nets are a permanent set up operated by 6-7 people. They appear along the sea/coastline. These areas were not very clean, hygienic, had a certain stink. They appear better from a ferry ride.
