Me and my husband spent a week in the Secret Garden hotel in Kochi and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is in a very quiet and picturesque area of narrow winding roads but only 5 minutes walk from the city center. The facilities are very good and the rooms are beautifully decorated in an authentic way. The breakfast is... More

This side street has great boutique shops, book stores restaurants and even Gelato. Friendly shopkeepers/artisans, not pushy hawkers.

Loafer’s Corner, popularly known as Princess Street, is an ideal place in Kochi, where an amalgamation of old and new times can be seen. One of the oldest streets in Fort Kochi, it is dotted with European-style houses, lending it an old-world feel. This vibrant street is the hangout place for social party-loving locals of the area.

You can find basically everything on that street. Groceries, restaurant, clothing, daily supplies. Very convenient!

Contrary to many reviewers, we found this place a bit depressing and lonely. It did not look like a 'happening' place. I think it is more geared towards attracting foreigners.

With Keralas problematic licensing laws,it was a revelation to discover you can easily buy good tonic here. There are shops selling good merchandise here and it is well worth a visit.Post office is close by too

On a sunday evening the place had a desereted look.Mostly foreigners hanging around. The shops didn't have much to offer.Mostly selling duplicate antics and junk jewellery. There are lot of so called friendly guys trying to squeeze out something from you while pretending to help you.A weird place- nothing to see.

We are here at Princess Street,Kochi and I am here at Sonnetta Residency which is a home stay in Kochi. All the bars, cafes are all located nearby around 500 m radius and the famous beach,Mahatma Gandhi beach is also hardly 300 m from this street. One can get public transport very easily.
