This is a small museum describing the history of the Portuguese settlement of Cochin. Much of it from a Catholic religious perspective.

Located within the campus of the Bishop House, this museum has just two small galleries with limited static displays and modest interpretation. The building is interesting and a lot more could be done here

Beautifully displayed, some very interesting (and beautiful) religious artifacts from various catholic churches around the South of India.

This museum at is very popular and is visited by most tourists who come to Fort Kochi. The museum with a good collection of artifacts and mural paintings is a memorial of the Indo-Portuguese Christian Art heritage. Most of the collections of the museum like piece of altar made of teak, processional cross made of silver and wood, coat of... More

If you are fascinated by the nature of Portuguese influence in this area, then this museum is well worth the short walk for a visit but all in all it is a little too quiet and reserved to provide much more than a brief experience. Artefacts are excellent so perhaps fairer to say 'not for us'!

At eleven in the morning the doors to this heavily visited little museum open and from then on their is a nearly continuous flow of Indians and foreign travelers through this gem of a museum. Most amazing are the old, beautifully painted wall murals. Nothing short of spectacular even if you cannot take photos inside!!

Nice collection of religious artifacts. They are displayed nicely and labeled appropriately. It only costs 25 rupees to enter. The only bad thing was the remains of the original fort in the basement were not able to be looked at closely because the basement was filled with water. We could only see them from the staircase. I can only think... More

As this is close to many other sites I think it is definitely worth a stop. There were interesting artifacts from local Catholic Churches. There was also a mostly-underground piece of the original Portuguese fort which was the first we had seen of it!

Excellent place to see, also known as Dutch palace. No photography allowed inside though. Highly recommended.
