I went to visit the Dutch cemetery on a Sunday morning in May 2018. Unfortunately it wasclosed. What I could see of it through the locked gate was an unkempt mess. What a shame!! I find that often old cemeteries are fascinating. This is could...More

You cannot get in - gate is locked and you cannot even look through the gate because of the big sign they hung up. You can look over the wall from the beach side, but you can barely see anything as the bushes hace overgrown...More

Entry to the place is not allowed, you can see the cemetery from the bars of the gate n take a few photos just like we did.

This is where history unfolds and where you can literally feel the past eras of this city. On my first visit, I only found the closed gate through which you can hardly see anything. Next day I realised that the entire cemetery can be seen...More

Unfortunately the cemetery seems to be closed all the time. It is overgrown and not at all well kept which is a pity given its historical significance. Located between Fort Cochin Beach and Vasco Da Gama Square it could be a good historical attraction if...More

The cemetery is permanently closed to visitors except family members of the departed. The cemetery is in a very poor state of maintenance and not worth a visit from tourism point of view. Do not waste your time trying to get there & seeing it.

How idiotic of the trust who owns this beautiful old cemetery, to put up a metal sign saying 'Dutch Cemetery etc..' right across the gate where you look in to the grounds. For God's sake! What are these idiots thinking - what wrong with looking...More

Couldn’t believe my eyes! Shocking to see a place neglected and abandoned, it’s so disrespectful and shouldn’t be allowed to happen.
