One of the main Siva temple in Kottayam.. "Vaikkathu Astami" festival is very famous with lot of devotes pouring in to temple even from far away locations..

Vaikom Mahadeva temple is half an hour's drive from Kottayam. The deity here is Siva. We went here in the evening. Reached by 7. By some puja was going on and temple doors were locked. We decided to visit this temple after reading the reviews here. True to the reviews this is an amazing temple with many entrances. The main part of temple is beautiful.
