Poonjar palace is a place of good history. Sadly this place is closed for visiting. There are two places. One showed on google maps and one shown by locals. I have been to both and is disappointed as it was a complete waste of time....More

A beautiful Palace, well maintained. You can see a very large and rare collection of old antiques like statues, sculptures, weapons, manuscripts etc. As many Palaces in Kerala, this one is also built with wood.

The Poonjar Palace is a glorious testimony to the regal opulence of a bygone era.A unique conch preserved here is taken out once a year for ritualistic purposes.
