Excellent collection of sculptures, statues furnitures etc dating back to hundreds of years. Photography not allowed inside. Would have helped if more description of the artifacts were given in English

We found napier to be quite beautiful. The trip to the museum was fascinating and the waterfront is just splendid.

This is one of the museums worth a visit in Thiruvananthapuram. The good quality of the items on display (mainly statues) would deserve some restoration, as well as the western-style building hosting the museum. Some additional explanation in English should be added where it's missing.

Lists objects mainly from the Travancore dynasty. Has separate galleries for oriental artefacts. Has some amazing elephant ivory carvings. No photography allowed.

The building itself is a thing of beauty set in lush gardens, the natural air-conditioning is very effective and the internal decor is as amazing and pleasing as the external architecture. The museum houses an impressive collection of statuary, furniture, ornaments, jewellery and ancient artefacts....More
