Visited the palace on October 1 st Sunday. Morning is right time to visit 9 am to 5 pm open except on Fridays . Palace is of great historical value but unfortunately not very well maintained .

It starts with a stair that's almost straight like a stick...rather you have climb using your hands as well!! After that you would just wonder how was the engineering and design..too good an experience!!

..A Typical Maharaja Palace with all those components, including a Dance theater (Floor) .. Many famous and Documentaries are shot at this place .. Worth spending a full day, provided you love nature! .. MUST SEE monument (better bright day for the eyes of Camera)...More

This palce is very ancient and historically important.There was no heavy rush and not much touristy.Best attraction is the dance floor.

one of the most magnificent display of architecture brilliance, the palace has an grand feel to it with awesome wood carving. a must visit for everyone visiting Thiruvananthapuram.

This is a palace of travancore king. Not like North Indian palaces. This is single storied structure with manglorian tiles. Very nice site must visit.

Hi Emil, This is a heritage-historical building and unlike Palaces in some of the States in India, this has not been converted into a hotel. Since this place is en route Kanya Kumari (from Thiruvananthapuram) you can stay... More
