Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had visited this historic palace in Aurangabad a long back ago. It is a popular tourist attraction and is visited by tourists.
This palace is located in the campus of a University. It was built between 1651 and 1653 by a Bundelkhand chief who accompanied Aurangzeb into the Deccan. This palace is a grand two stored building constructed in typical Rajput style. It was named after the paintings that were once painted in gold. The entrance of the palace is decorated with done arches. It has a well manicured garden. This palace was converted into a museum in 1979 and showcases antique items, coins, ancient pottery, paintings, artillery etc. It is the venue of the Aurangabad festival. The timing is from 9 pm to 5 pm. The entrance fees are Rs. 10 per Indian and Rs. 100 per foreigner. It is closed on Mondays. However, outside the gate, there were some youngsters who were eager to enter the palace to use it doing their TikTok videos, thereby spoiling the place.
This palace is an ideal place for families as well as history lovers. It is a must visit and should not be missed when in Aurangabad.

This is the palace of a mid-C17th Mughal chief - whose name I do not remember. It is on the North side of huge, sprawling Ambedkar University and worth a detour if you are in the University or going to the Aurangabad Caves. It has such a beautiful entrance with a Taj Mahal-like approach, then the walled palace and a backdrop of rugged mountains. Stunning.
The rest is pretty dreadful. It is a “Government of India” Museum with the implied standards: no coherence, no information, no sense. There may be wonders within – but no one cares to enlighten the ignorant. Plenty of weapons, earthen wear and paintings – and the usual visitors' fog of ignorance.

This place is situated within the campus of Marathawada University and just on the outskirts of the main city. I found the campus to be more an attraction site than the Mahal itself but the Mahal seems to emanate the feeling of loneliness,of treasures lost and the despair as one walks through the palace corridors and rooms . The gold plated grand paintings are all gone now but there are some grand stone sculptures displayed here which were excavated in the region. For a casual visitor, its a forlorn place but for history buffs,it certainly is a place to reckon.

Sunheri Mahal is a palace located within the university campus. The palace is more of a museum where you get to see some artifacts of Mughal period. There are weapons used by rulers during mughal period on display. Remains of some of the paintings in golden color can be seen. The palace is located amidst lush green surroundings and hills.

When we went to this museum hidden in a corner of the Ambedkar university we did not know what to expect. The structure is impressive so is the colelction. Only we wish it was better labelled. Just before we stepped out, the attedant as ked us if we have seen the Durbar Hall which is the highlight of the attraction. Had gold leaf painitngs on the wall (mpst of which is scraped off and stolen)

this beautiful mahal, is inside a university complex in aurangabad, and surrounded on all sides by hills.. the location is simply amazing.. the peace and quite, the silence is good enough to reflect on your life.. and even to meditate... this has been the most scenically beautifully place in aurangabad.. that i visited, the museum staff was most helpful... even though the museum was shut due to a public holiday, the on guard staff, personally guided us through the museum.. the museum has nothing to show as such , most of the artifacts are from mumbai. and have just been aimlessly put.. so dont go there for the museum.. just go if you are looking to spend a quite time at a nice place, away from the crowds.. kids will love the echo's that are generated once you are in the garden in front of the mahal.. try clapping your hands and see what happens
