Tamhini Ghat is a mountain passage located between Mulshi and Tamhini in Maharashtra, India. Situated on the crest of the Western Ghat mountain ranges, Tamhini Ghat is noted for its surroundings comprising scenic waterfalls, lakes and dense woods. Best time to visit is rainy season.

It's a must visit place around Pune during monsoon. The roads remain fully covered in fog and greenery all around. One of the best thing was the waterfalls which can be easily climbed upon and enjoyed.

About 1.5 hour from Pune and best time to visit is Aug to Sept during rainy day. At present roads is not good so be careful while driving. There are may restaurents. Quick bite is the best for vegetarians.

you may reach to tamhini ghat in around 2hrs from Pune. Waterfalls in this season is treat to watch.

There are many resorts or camps near by bank of river but you wont find in Tahmini ghat. First of all no need to stay there because its very near to Pune. You can return in one day.

If with family & children, carry all essentials. If go to drench in rains, additional clothes. Return before dark.
