- Sohini S28 contributionsThank you for the outside Darshan option! We really liked the concept of the window which allowed us to see the temple interior and idol from the road side. We avoided the long lines, since we were not having the time in hand to offer puja on that day. If not for this window, we would have had to go back without a darshan. I sincerely hope other temples also follow this example. It would be a great service for tourists who are on a short timeline and also day to day passers by can have darshan on their way to work/school.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 2 October 2023

No matter when you visit, there is always a queue however it doesn’t take more than 10min. 3. You will feel happy from inside as soon as you are in temple and it is hard to put it in words. 4. Parking for 2 wheeler is challenge here and 4wheeler is nightmare. 5. There is a small window by which you can have darshan without going into queue. 6. Temple is well managed and clean. 7. This temple is very famous of Lord Ganesh and situated in heavily crowded market Budhvar peth. Vehicle parking is not available and temple is just on the road itself, you can have darshan from road itself. Better to go by cab . Many shops are available selling parsad and flowers as offering to Lord Ganesha. You may have to stand in queue for some time but it will not take much time but during festivals you may have to wait for few hours to have darshan. This temple of Lord Ganesha is very famous among locals and you feel blessed and divine at this place. Photography is not permitted inside but you can take pictures from outside. Very well maintained and must visit place in case you are in Pune.

We go there every month during the Shankashti. Mostly we go there after 9:30PM. Queue is minimal at that time.
The premises are well managed. The whole experience of looking at the idol is indescribable. It's mesmerising. Almost life like. The Grandeur comes both from the internal architecture and the idol.
The aarti done daily at sunset is something to look forward to. The whole complex reverberates with positivity.

Dagadusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple is right in the middle of old Pune city. Lord's idol is beautiful. Must visit temple if you are in Pune.
Parking will be a big problem due to very crowded and narrow roads. Better park somewhere and walk to take a cab.

It's a snall temple situated in the midst of a crowded market. Luckily for us the queue was less and it was a moving crowd.
Got a reasonably good Darshan. It was a beautiful experience. The ganesh idol was so beautiful that I was amazed. I being a staunch ganesha devotee loved the time spent praying infront of the idol.
Even though boards placed there prohibit photography, people keep clicking pictures. I clicked pics from outside.

The most iconic devotional places of pune that puffs up your heart with its tradition and the arrtis simply mesmerize the environment. The people selling flowers and mithais , all make you sit for long and long. The murti is supremly eye catching and holds you long by its side. There are some food joints nearby as well, which you can certainly try out

Temple is famous and Ganpati idol and decorations are well maintained. Lot of people come to visit but line moves quickly. I just felt the line organization and crowd management could have been better since there were no fixed lines for incoming and outgoing visitors.

This is located on a busy street and the temple is crowded most of the times. Yet our darshan didn't take too much time due to the well organised staff in the temple premises. This temple of Lord Ganesh is very much revered by people in Pune and whole of Maharashtra. The idol of Lord Ganesha is very beautiful and enchanting. The temple is located close to Shanivar Wada

Started the new year 2022 with ganpati bappa's Darshan and blessings. You tend to forget everything when you see the idol. You are left truly mesmerized. Ensure you visit the place during early hours of the day. As the day progresses more people queue up for the Darshan. When there are long queues security personnel push and pull you around to manage the crowd. I paid rs 100 and got into the vip line. Got a glimpse of bappa and was pulled fiercely by the personnel so other people could get the Darshan. So better visit the place at 6 or so when the temple opens for public.

Typical crowded area. No vehicle parking. Temple too is crowded, and hence darshan is of a short duration. No photography allowed. Gold facading and glitter is unparalleled. Ganapati is huge. Avoid visit on tuesdays and chaturti.

In Mandir is there any particular dress for women like Saree or dress while going for Darshan??
Written 14 August 2018
Though there is no dress code but being a sacred and religious place, it is desirable that one dresses decently and fitting to the occasion. One is going to pay obeisance and respect to the deity and not for a show off.

municipality parking building (pay and park) is nearby - at a 2 mins walking distance.
we had visited on a Sunday and had faced no problems.

Is this temple safe for a single female traveler to visit at night?
Written 31 May 2017
Yes, this holy place of Lord Ganesha , is very popular in Pune. Anytimre you can find hundreds of devotees to see their favourite Lord Ganesha, so no fear. Also it is always under CC TV Surveillance & meticulously guarded by police / para military forces. So just go , relax & have darshan & blessings together

How far this temple is from airport?
How can we reach there while coming from Kopargaon?
Written 10 March 2017
From Airport it may take about an hr. and half depends on traffic. But still is just 15-16 kms from there. Its on a very busy street so be sure that you plan accordingly.
When you enter in Pune from Nagar Road. Please ask somebody to help.
