Stepping back in time
Sep 2021 • Solo
Budget shopping of traditional brass things to jewellery etc ,a feeling of stepping back in time inside the old tulshibaag area through the ancient carved doors.
The beautiful wooden carved arches ,roof and stone walls of the Ram mandir though closed was so peaceful!

Iconic Tulsi Baug
Jan 2021 • Solo
Landmark place in the heart of old Pune. Great variety if shopping items available at dirt cheap price. A bargainers heaven. Usually very very crowded. There is a big flower market also. Coming to this part of Pune is a challenge. Parking is always an issue here even for two wheelers. But a place one must not miss visiting. Females would all the more love this place. Plenty of attractions nearby. Lots of eating options also. All in all a must visit place.

Budget shopping
Jan 2020
This place is not on the list of Tourists. Tulsi Baug is famous for budget shopping of crockery, clothing, cosmetics, bags, stationery, shoes etc. Very near to Famous Ganesh temple shri Dagduseth Ganesh temple. No place for parking and always heavily crowded. Many narrow lanes selling daily use items at reasonable price. Nothing very great about this place. No place for vehicles so better avoid taking to this place.

Tulsi bagh is new to Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple, and it has huge variety for shopping varying from home decor to apparels, from footwears to jewellery and accessories.

Crowded and Crazy !
Dec 2019
Market which is a paradise for budget shopping. Literally find everything here from clothes, footwear, utensils etc. It gets crazy crowded towards the evening and if you are in a group, chances are you will get separated ! There is also the famous Ganesh idol bang in the middle of the market which was bliss. Lane after lane , its a shoppers paradise but can be overwhelming for many not used to this.

Very good place to buy clothes
Nov 2019
The market is actually very lively and funny, offering a majority of indian clothes. However, just around the pedestrian market area, you will find shops selling very nice shirts, indian as well as more occidental style, good quality and nice style for very reasonable place. Worth looking around, I think the best one I found was on the eastern end of the market area, close to a crossroad.

Best for girls and ladies
Nov 2019 • Friends
If you want to do a street shopping with lot of bargaining options to collect small fashion items like ear rings, bangles etc this is the place for you. Male members might find it boring but to please female members of your family this is a must visit place. This market is generally over crowded hence do not carry to much of money valuables or small kids as you may have to regret your decision if something goes wrong.

Ladies Paradise
Oct 2019 • Family
Tulsi baug being a few decades old market, yet the most favorite flea market for pune ladies. Always busy and crowded with all age group ladies. Evenings are found out to be busier than day.
The best shopping experience you get is when you shop in group of friends or family, so you can explore more.

Anything and everything you will get here and in the budget. Accessories, clothing, footwear all at one go.

Another attraction here is, The Tulsi Baug Ganpati idol which is situated at midst of the busy street of tulsi baug, also worshipped in the list of 'Manache 5' in pune.

A huge and mesmerizing idol, is so eye catching, decorated with silver jewelry.
The most beautiful are the eyes of the lord ganesha, so peaceful.

Do visit if you haven't yet for all new shopping fun.

Shopper's paradise! I love Tulsi baug!
Jun 2019
I have fond memories of my visits to Tulsi Baug with my grandmother each summer when I would go to Pune on my summer break. I have continued with this tradition of visiting Tulsi Baug each time I visit Pune now. This market has something for everyone--- household stuff, clothes, toys, cosmetics, groceries--- with vendors who sell their wares on the streets and the lanes. The market can get really crowded in the evenings and during festival times, but I don't mind any of it at all. I have found amazing stuff there--- lovely bindis, small steel utensils for my little daughter's toy kitchen, well priced all steel folding clothes stand for my flat, good quality readymade petticoats for a steal---- name it and it is there! One has to bargain a bit, especially with the street vendors, but that has a joy of its own! And one can find fresh produce--- wonderful fruits and vegetables--- as well. Not far is the famous Kawre cold drinks joint, where I go each time to savor my favorite Mastani. I just love this place. Like Delhi has its Lajpat Nagar market, Pune has its Tulsi Baug! Hope it never changes!
