Be careful of the road
Sep 2021
The western ghats is a long stretch of mountains near Pune and overall a great experience with nature. But move away from the highway and the roads can be terrible. This review is of the mulshi area where the post monsoon road condition is worst

Road condition experience
Dec 2020 • Family
Varandha ghat is awesome, however roads are in averagely maintained due to heavy Rainfall. Good patch 20km, bad patch 20km. From Mahad to shivtargal road is very good, recently resurfaced. From Bhor side, it's average to bad condition. Dated as on 19-Dec-2020.

Nature at it's best
Feb 2020
Western ghats in and around Pune are simply awesome. It gives a feeling of being close to Mother Nature. The views of mountains ranges in the ghats and the horizon is very nice. The forested areas on the mountains , the greenery around are best views to enjoy in a city like Pune. A drive through the roads on the ghats is adventurous and breath taking.

Most beautiful place
Aug 2019
The Western Ghats is considered by many to be the most beautiful place on earth. You get to view lush green hills and valleys everywhere. Especially during the monsoon, the place feels so fresh and pollution-free. They make a perfect weekend getaway from Mumbai. The place is rich with biodiversity also. Best for photographers and nature lovers. It is spread over the entire west coast of India - Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamilnadu.

Great for picnics or for photo enthusiasts. Even for a long, long drive. Especially during monsoon or winter (no matter how short they are). You get amazing views here.
