This is the perfect time to Visit the Western ghats. Be prepared to get wet and dress accordingly. Waterfalls, mist, cool breeze and beautiful greenery beckons you. Just get up and go! However I would not recommend crowded common places like Lonavala/Khandala.

Western Ghats which runs parallel to the coast line, has immense beauty of nature. During monsoon its looks like new life in the entire Western Ghats - which covers the lush green carpet of grass, flowers and seasonal waterfalls also attracts many nature lovers.

The Western Ghats are probably the most picturesque mountains in India. If you visit in the monsoon seasons, you will see the Ghats in all their glory.

Quiet a view between Pune to Mumbai. Lonavala a famous Mumbai hotspot is here. You can have a birds eye view of Mumbai once called Bombay. A UNE$SCO heritage site for floral and faunal diversity. Should visit if you are a nature buff.

Travelling by road or rail - on a trip from Pune to Mumbai and back is an experience when passing through the ghats. The green cover, the rain, the numerous water falls ........hmmm its almost like heaven on earth.
