When you visit Jaisalmer. Must visit golden stone fort and Maharaja's palace. Palace need some restoration work to make more beautiful.

Considering the condition of the palace, the entry fee is expensive. The money is definitely not going towards the maintenance of the palace. The public toilet, for example, is terribly dirty. The palace has much to offer, but it can be presented better. Items on...More

The Fort is lovely in itself and so is this part which is the maharajas places converted into a museum now. A living fort not seen so much in India as most are museums, hotels or abandoned- this one is thriving with people and life....More

It is inside the fort as a part of it, hence not to be taken as a separate structure. Same with the MAHARANI's palace.

I would allow 1 to 2 hours, and wander around on your own or get an audio guide or pay a guide to take you around - whichever you prefer.
