We visited the lake past noon. It was very hot, but as soon as we reach the lake shore it was pleasant. The view is amazing. You can also feed the fishes out here

Its beautiful, not maintained very well - just as most Indian tourist places but not bad. There is an over population of catfish in the lake which is a definite must see, its crazy. You can also do boating in the lake or visit the nearby temples which are beautiful. Personally I would have liked no boating to be allowed... More

This is an artificial lake built with the intention of conserving the rain water to help supply water to the dry desert city of Jaisalmer. Gadsisar lake is a very large lake. The beauty of the lake is enhanced by the beautiful temples in golden color seen within the lake. The distant sandy patch with a little thin shrub vegetation... More

Best place for pedal boat riding and can see sunset and sunrise. Pedal boat for two cost 100 INR. It look like a gold we sun rays fall on the peripheral of Gadsisar lake. Awesome place to spend sunset in evening in jaisalmer. It is 800 m away from fort.

We stayed within Jaisalmer fort which was wonderful. Walked down to the lake to take in the sunset across the water. This could be a very beautiful lake if only the water and surrounding banks were cleared of all the rubbish. There is a lot of it. The lake has potential to attract a lot of people but is unfortunately... More
