Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although it is far from the center, it is totally worth the detour: the store is effectively a real experience, with unbelievably cheaper and higher quality products. There are products starting at 100 rupees.
The staff is friendly, and reliable. They don't push products. They just want to help.
You can choose fabrics to be sewn on the spot.
There are vintage fabrics from old dresses that are to die for!
Emerging European brands have been relying on the quality of this store to export fabrics and products.

We did a Jeep trip and visited three different village family workshops. Very nice opportunity to get out of the city and into the rural area. We got to see the village life and saw typical wildlife in the fields. The area has no electricity and limited water resources. We visited a textile shop, pottery shop and opium water shop. The people were friendly and willing to make your experience individualized. Your purchases are not expected but highly appreciated.

Visited the Bishnoi Village Craft and saw the Block Print Workers and Pottery Workers at work.

It is a nice way to protect the local dying art of pottery and block printing.

it was an insightful tour as the Printers explained the way natural colors are made and than used. The Potter explained the nuances of the making various items from the clay and how some of them are unique and designed so that they are kind of unbreakable.

Visit if you are interested in the local handicrafts

Went with the intention to do good and purchase directly from the village Craftsmen

At least 25% higher than market rates for the same product. They all give evidence of authentication even in the market.
Good experience to see but not for purchase.

We were in India with our 3 kids in August and spent one day in Jodhpur. We did a stop at Via Bishnoi village kraft in order to buy some pashminas. The staff was really nice : we could choose quietly and tried some saris. The salesman gave us some useful advices and offered a pashmina to our 5 year old daughter. It was much appreciated!

Amazing hand blocked colours. Reasonable prices. Huge selection for single or double beds or even table cloths or throws. Vivid colours. All made by the villagers and then collected and presented at the primitively craft centre. Worth a visit. One man dies the presentation. Chairs available and a bench. Impossible to leave without buying something!!!!

This is a place which is accomodating..ie. we bought cushion fronts here which they made up and sent to Australia, complete with inner padding. They are friendly, caring and don't rip off visitors. They also remembered what we bought last time!

Enjoy unique local food and secret things. Came to know after visiting that how our tradition of charkha, pottery and arid agriculture is getting vanished.

A beautifully laid out centre filled to the brim with the most gorgeous well made textiles and soft furnishings, gifts, bags and more.I bought some stunning quilts, cushion covers and fabric and had it shipped home (arrived very soon after I was back and all in good condition).Raj and his team were very helpful and not at all pushy and I only wish I had allowed more time to spend there..(oh well, will have to visit again ; )
