Machia Biological Park is located almost 8.5 kilometers from Jodhpur City, in close proximity to Kaylana Lake. Bird lovers will find this park especially interesting, since it is home to a variety of bird species, and there is a birdwatching point to spot them. Machia Biological Park is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including Lion, Tiger, Bear, Crocodile & Ostrich.
Inside the park, there is ample walking space for the visitors to observe the animals in their natural habitats. There is an exhibition gallery which consists of local herbs & weeds. In addition, the park is also home to the Machiya Fort, which offers beautiful views from the top.

Machiya biological park Jodhpur is gradually enhancing the biological view. it is a good place in Jodhpur for the visitors who are the zoo lovers. Lots of local herbs and weeds are available in its exhibition gallery. There are many animals and birds are existing here. Lion, tiger, crocodile, bear, ostrich wild jungle cats and other shorts of birds are also living here. Overall the park is good for one time visit. Also, have a broader area of the animal living area.

Poor infrastructure; poor maintenance and smelly enclosure. Staff not bothered on the feedback from visitors. High ticket price and very poor show- most of the enclosures are empty. This Zoo is Not worth visiting.

A place near kaylana lake and surrounded by hills.
Machia Biological Park is situated at a distance of almost 9 km from the city, on the Jodhpur-Jaisalmer Route. An attractive destination for sightseeing and a picnic, the park is home to wildlife like deer and desert fox. Fauna of the park also includes monitor lizard, desert fox, mongoose, wild cats, Lions, Tiger, Crocodile, Tortoise, and others.
The good time to visit the park is early morning or after 6pm in evening. As it is Biological Park so many different types of plants are there labeled with their scientific name. Restaurant is available there.

I write this review for January visit. There are 2 admission fee for locals and foreigners, buggy hire is also available at a cost. I must say it was disappointing for most cage was empty or animals was seen from a distance. We were told the animals had eaten and probably gone to sleep, checked our time it was 9:30am. Nothing is maintained in this zoo from cages to the extend saw a coiled snake in the birds cage, to filthy toilets with no lights and stench unbearable. Though we rode the buggy our tour lasted 15minutes for we just wanted to leave for the environment felt inhumane. Not recommended very disappointing.
