Great place to be with family. You can feel the divine history and glory of the rajputs and the grace of Lord Ganesh.
The temple is located at the top of the fort with a walk of around 45 mins from base. The treck includes stairs and plain walkthrough.
You need to carry water along as you will get exhausted. Beware of monkeys as they are quite large in number and are notorious.
A guide along the way makes the walk easy with the stories of war, sacrifice and valour of the kings.
There is a hidden underground template of lord Shiva which takes back you the history.
The history makes you feel proud.
The way to fort is between jungle so be cautious and avoid late afternoon visit.
Tiger spotted nearby temple on 1st day of the year.
Also stay back if its a Wednesday or a holiday like new year and other festival if you are travelling for leisure.
The for stores many historical things to look for and the view and sights are mesmerizing.
Enjoy the Madhopur Guavas.

This temple is situated in Ranthambore Fort, you need to track for 20-30 mins to reach this temple. Although am not religious person but a history buff, so history behind temple appelaed to me.
This fort is almost 1600-1700 old and showcased Indian's middle ages in full glory.

We visited ranthambore in jan first week, stayed at Raj palace ranthambore, place was quite friendly, as it was mid week so there was no rush, we heard of Trinetra Ganesh ji temple so day 1 early morning started at 6.30 am and visited temple seeking blessings of Lord Ganesha, it's in 9n a hill tope near zone 3, a lot 9f wildlife saw a hyena in early morning alongwith lot of lagoons and birds, herds of peacock on way 5o temple, darshan were awesome as 7 o clock 5he aarti starts in winter and we reached on time. Post darshan in afternoon we went for jungle safari, saw a lot o of wildlife , tigerbush bird sat on my hat and danced for a while, seen deers, aligator, neelgur, but missed tiger... No regrets as the trip was well enjoyed by kids n family. Day 2 visited palighat went for a motorboat ride in Chambal river which is around an hour drive from rathambhore , the boating was quite safe during ride saw dozens of aligators of different sizes, wild ducks, fishes, and amazing views the trip was awesome.

One of its kind. Must visit to seek blessings. The temple idol is very ancient and is linked to royalty and fort.

This temple is officially the address of Ganeshji in India. I am told that the first wedding invitation card of a Hindu wedding in India, is first sent to this temple....didnt know this. The fact that its more than 1000 years old...its located in the Ranthambore Fort. and you can view the entire city from there...is awesome....it's a place you dont want to miss.
There are many monkey's on the way but they dont really trouble...and you need to climb about 300 stairs to reach the top of the Fort...but its not very difficult.

The only temple in the world where you can see ganesh ji with his complete family i.e. wife and children. Since Lord Ganesha is worshipped at time when you are starting a new event or work, so people send marriage invites to this temple to invite Lord Ganesha to the auspicious occasion of their weddings.

This is a very ancient temple of the 13th century. The idol is a natural one and was found by King Hameer who was down to his last straw in the battle against Allauddin Khilji. The story goes that the king got a dream in which Lord Ganesha told him to fight with total confidence and that he would find his Idol in the Hills. It happened just so. He won the battle and built the temple. It is located on a Hill and the beauty is very gripping. A great place to visit.

Ofcourse we did not find our first wedding card...but it was great to see hordes of people and newly married couple come and take blessings.

a very old temple Around 13th century. Ganesha idol is Swayambhu. Lot of people come here during Ganesh Chaturthi. Marriage invitations and request letter are sent by India Post.

Ganesh temple and the fort are in the same premise or different ?
How long can the car take us closer to the temple ? As in how such minimum steps will be required to reach the temple. O will be travelling with 3 year old, so carrying in the arms might be difficult

Both are in the same premises. Car park is there at the base of the fort. Not much stiff ride but have to walk for around an hour.

I am not completely certain when the earliest you can go is but they have sunrise puja so I assume very early. Depending on how fast you walk it would take about an hour and a half or 2 hours if you are spending time in the temple. There is also an amazing Shiva lingum on the hill, don't miss that. The temple has a website but TripAdvisor will not let me link it so google Tri Netra Ganesha Temple in Ranthambhore

how far is the temple to the top of the fort .. i mean how far is it from the bottom of the fort .. how many steps approx need to be climbed ? .. can elderly people climb to the temple ?

One has to walk for around 1.5km to reach to the temple. It's not like a straight staircase. The stairs are wide and after climbing a few one has to walk and again there are few stairs. Elderly people can take rest in between .
