The cultural/folk show in the evening is simply breathtaking. One must must check this place out. Try to grab a seat in the front, not to the sides.

Nice to walk in there in order to take a few pics of the building or the lake views. Recommend it anytime. The lake is quite dirty but there's some great sunset pics in the evening.

If you want a feel of traditional Rajasthani dance you should visit this place in Udaipur. The show is of 1 hour from 7 Pm to 8 PM and is worth the time.

Folk dance in evening here is mesmerising! Many folk and tribal dances of Rajasthan and Gujarat are performed. You can sit on mattress or steps. Pitcher dance is amazing. Do not miss! They have a museum as well.

I am well informed about the place before reaching Udaipur. So after visiting City Palace, the biggest palace of Rajasthan, and after watching the picturesque sunset at Pichhola Lake we took an auto to reach the haveli. The show time is 7 to 8 p.m and the booking counter opens at 6.15 p.m. Though we had not booked through online... More

Definitely great dance performances. Last performance by an elderly lady is outstanding. But i personally felt that there could be more action in the dances. Each performance was different, but one performance was exactly same right from the start till the end. It used to get monotonic. There could be more action so that the excitement level keeps going up.

Lovely dancing though some of the fighting scenes with Hindu gods/demons could be quite disturbing for youngsters.

The place hosts a museums that is nice but not impressive. The good things to it is the wonderful view you can get from the higher rooftop directly on the lake: perfect for taking picture as are the coloured windows on the lower floors.

We were so wrong! have seen Rajasthani folk umpteen times but this was a completely different experience. Sitting in the 'aangan' of the haveli, tastefully lit up and decorated, it felt you were on a private dinner party in spite of the packed- to- the- brim audience. The emceeing was delightful, and the performances authentic. Do not miss!
