Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just a usual ghat which oversees Taj palace hotel. Lot of roof top restaurants in and around Gangaur that serves coffee, sandwiches etc. You need to walk to this ghat or take an Auto. Cars will not pass through the narrow lanes.
No entry ticket and it's open 24hrs.

A trip to Udaipur is never fulfilled without a visit to the Gangour Ghat located along the Banks of Lake Pichola. Though the Lake is dotted with numerous Ghats, Gangour Ghat is the most popular of all. This is due to its proximity to various 'Must See' places of old Udaipur like the Market and Udaipur Fort.
There is a paid parking place at the entrance to the Ghat. Entry into the Ghat is free. The best time to visit is during Sunrise or Sunset. The place is a Shutterbugs delight with the well lit landscape of the opposite Bank with its shimnering reflections into the azure waters providing a smacking scenery.
Sitting on the huge granite steps leading to the river, one can enjoy a romantic interlude with nature. Though the cleanliness of the place leaves a lot to be desired, a monumental share of the blame lies with We, The Tourists.
A visit to this spot which is at tge edge of the old city is unmissable.

I think that you can skip visiting this place completely. First of all, you will see it the most when you take a boat ride at the lake Pichola directly from that boat. Secondly, if you stop by at the place, the place is too small for any pictures, it just doesn't look good. On the top of that, you will instantly get a group of beggars targeting you as you take any step. The beggars are just waiting for the tourists there, talking between each other, or just sitting on the ground, until you show up. Also those locals that act friendly at the beginning and that they just want to talk, in the end, they will be offering you something.

This ghaat is the most popular one in Udaipur. The entry fee is free here. You can witness really nice sunset here. It is lively because of the pigeons in morning and in the evening a lot of small artisans are there selling products and playing local music. This ghaat had a lot of pre wedding shoots happening though when I visited in the early morning. I visited this Ghaat multiple times during my stay and loved it.

Depending on the mystical value attributed to this Ghat, the experience will be more or less striking. I loved the juxtaposition of a modest religious ceremony and couples on a pre-wedding trip posing in front of their photographer decked out in expensive formal wear. Pre-wedding seems to be a thriving (seasonal?) industry, to the point that the Ambrai Ghat wharf, which faces the other side of the lake, has entry fees at 3 rates: Indian, foreign and pre-wedding.

Trip to Udaipur is incomplete without seeing Gangaur ghat. The place is usually bustling with visitors. Try to go early in morning if you want to photo shoot during Golden hours.

Visited Gangour Ghat on April 7, 2022. The Ghat's location is wonderful. The Ghat is well maintained but sometimes not that well lit and clean. The lanes are too narrow there and usually jam packed with people. Lots of street food available there mainly during the Gangour festival that takes place during Navaratri, i.e. in April.
Good place to roam and see the local culture. However, the lake needs to be cleansed regurarly.

It is very pleasant to spend time in evening here.
It is just next to bagore ki haveli where u can see a traditional show. The way is from Jagdish temple.

I had my hotel near Gangaur Ghat and this place is worth visiting in the early morning or late evening. It is serene and very beautiful. It is the main ghat located near the waterfront of Lake Pichola. Also a good place for Photographers.

Overcrowded and underwhelming. If you are in Udaipur for a short time, skip this one. Ambrai ghat is definitely more impressive.
