Very beautiful palace with lots of amazing exhibits. However, when you pay to see the museum, that's all it includes. We paid another 50 rupees to see a couple more "palaces" but you're oly allowed to see the entrances and have to pay again to actually get inside. It's not the most tricky thing, but certainly could be more clear.

This was okay. It certainly does NOT compare to the beautiful palaces in the world. This is however occupied by the reigning Maharna and Maharani. It's going to need a ton of cash to get it up to its former grandeur. Parts of it are truly creepy. Like the private quarters with the bedroom, toilet or the wheelchair. Ew. The... More

Well worth a visit. A spectacular building full of interest. This is a massive complex and needs quite a bit of time to do it justice.

Three are a lot of palaces in India, no need to see this one. Far preferred the palaces in the Amber and Agra forts and the Mysore palace. If you're not going to any of those, then this one is fine

We took the tour of this palace at the last moment. We had not done our homework of what places to visit. The palace is huge with intricate architecture. The entry fees are different for Indians and foreigners. You have to pay extra for the camera in case you want to take videos or photographs. Fee for the camera is... More

As i have seen many Palaces, i have decided not to take 250 Rs ticket to see the museum. I bought 30 Rs ticket, which allowed me to see various places of Palace from outside. Later i felt happy for my decision as even with 250 Rs ticket, you have limited access.

This has got to be one of the most beautiful palaces i have ever seen. Lakeside and superb architecture. I highly recommend the audio guide. Its a huge complex so give yourself enough time.

You will go anyway, and it is worth it, but beware that the city palace gets extremely crowded, especially in December, to a point that it is hard to enjoy. A lot of tourists are very loud and disrespectful, cutting lines, pushing other people, not caring for their children, and taking thousands of selfies, without regard of the place or... More
