Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Full of valor and mystery

can be better managed with more public facilities of rest room , water and umbrella's

history is very well preserved here, food is expensive and very basic but overall a great sightseeing option specially if you are the lover of past and history

The City Palace Museum, Udaipur is located inside the City Palace. The entry fee is Rs. 300 per pax, guide is available @ Rs. 400. The Museum is in fact a series of palaces, each of the palaces represents unique architectural styles and materials. City Palace Museum has notable collection of ancient sculptures, antiques, artefacts, and inscriptions of the bygone era. Weaponry, armaments and personal belongings of the rulers are also on display. One can spent sufficient time in exploring the palace and viewing the interesting collections of bygone eras. However, one has to move around through narrow passage and stiff stairs inside the palace. A visit to this historical palace museum is recommended while in Udaipur.

It's a wonderful experience, enhanced with history of the valour and grace of the past kings and queens. Just being in that space is wonderful. There is a crystal museum here which is definitely worth a visit if you love crystal! There are guides who explain the source and conceptualisation of the crystals that you find here. We loved listening to the knowledgeable guide.

Wow. So much going on here at this museum. The initial gallery of armaments and weapons was almost enough for the whole visit and that is just the first room! Of many many many. This is really a HUGE collection of art, artifacts, history, photos, paintings, musical instruments, etc. etc. etc. It's a bit overwhelming. Budget plenty of time or several visits so as to not get worn out.

There a beautiful serene garden with a gorgeous tree somehow on one of the top floors of the museum. How!!! It's a lovely place to take a break.

A must visit site that shows the history, the indulgence and opulence of a bygone era. From the delicate paintings, to the pretty glass windows and of course the silver room and the mirrored rooms are incredible.
Also has 2, from memory, bathing pools, cut from single pieces of marble. The craftsmanship is sublime.
Yes it’s busy without any curators to nudge you forward, but it’s clearly signposted the route to take, but I would say a guide was really helpful in explaining the museum pieces to us. Wide views of Udaipur from the top.
Oh, and there are a lot of steps. Enjoy
