Good to understand
Nov 2019
Feel good to understand tea making process. They sell chocolate too of various vanities. However, they should focus more on giving good understanding to public on tea processing.

Great learning experience
May 2019 • Friends
During our vacation in Ooty we had visited this popular Tea Factory and Museum which is located on the road to Dodabetta Peak. We had visited on a Saturday morning and the place was buzzing with tourists. Entrance tickets are priced at 10 rupees per person. The Museum section is small and highlights the history of Nilgiri tea. The Factory has different machines and we walked around checking the entire tea making process. At the end we were given free tea to sample. There is also a chocolates Factory and outlet to buy tea and chocolates.

Go for the tea and chocolate samples!
Dec 2019 • Couples
It is only 10 rupees to get in and you get tea and chocolate. I needed no further reason than that. The ‘tour’ is just looking through windows at some of the tea processing but the tea you sample at the end it delicious. Worth it alone. If you are going to purchase chocolate in Ooty they have some of the best quality here. Bit chaotic to purchase but worth it.

Amazing place to see how tea is processed.
Dec 2019
The Tea Factory is combined into a single tour when you visit the doddabetta peak. The place is an amazing one where you get to understand everything as to how tea is made and processed right from the tea leaves.

Once you enter the factory they start a recorded explanation about the entire process of tea making right from bringing in tea leaves to their final packaging and processing as well as details about each and every step that is involved in this process. The factor is sorted into three levels i.e. ground plus 2. You start from the top floor and move down as you see and understand the tea making process.

While inside you can see the machines that are used in this process and also how and what process is done by those machines. Once you reach the ground floor you are served a glass of tea and it was simply one of the most aromatic and tasteful teas I have ever had. There is also a sales counter where you could buy the various types of teas and even other products such as eucalyptus and other types of oils.

Once you complete the tour you move onto the chocolate factory to understand the process of making homemade chocolates. The entire factory is a must-visit destination and you will surely enjoy understanding the process of tea making.

interesting to see how it is produced
Nov 2019
Was rather surprised to find that tea isn't grown around the factory. The machines and production is very small in comparison with tea factories we have visited in the north of India. Rather commercial. A guide explained the process well and we tried four types of tea. An interesting visit.

Homemade Choclate
Dec 2019 • Solo
One can see the whole process of making tea, choclates. Choclate tea is my favourite. One can taste lots of teas in one shed. But the prices of these tea, coffee and choclate is too much which is similiar to local market.
