You’ve traveled so far to see the Taj you might as well see it in all its opportunities. The Metab Bagh, is a rundown garden so not so great on its own and is now fenced off so you cannot get up very close to the river -the river is dried up most of the time anyway. Go at dusk... More

Did not think the gardens were all that. What you are coming here for is to see the back side of the Taj Mahal at sunset. The sun went down on your right, over the river, with the Taj on the opposite side. Plenty of stalls outside if you need water, etc. Worth a visit for another view of the... More

The viewing of the Taj would not be complete if you do not cross the River Yamuna and look at it from Mehtab Bagh, the spacious garden...

Shouldn't miss this view from the other side of the Yamuna looking towards the Taj Mahal. Some restoration is occurring to the site presently with hopes of returning the gardens to their previous glory.

This is a great place to visit after you visit the Taj Mahal. It's not as crowded and in a more quiet area. While not as grande, or as well maintained, it provides an important piece of history. The gardens were not super well maintained, but walking through the building and hearing the history behind Mehtab Bagh is why you... More

It is beautiful, though not all that well maintained. The view of the Taj is lovely. You can imagine the setting back in 1700's

This quiet corner of the city, on the other bank of the river, serves as both a garden (which was quite neglected when we visited it) and as a view point of the wonderful Taj Mahal.
