A great place to visit. Known as the baby Taj for obvious reasons when you see it. It's set in very nice gardens, which are well kept and the building itself is in very good condition. Great views across the river.

Steeped in history, this bijoux tomb predates the Taj Mahal. Shah Jehan took this modest but finely executed building as the model for his masterpiece. The incumbent of this fine tomb Itimad ud Daulah is the grandfather of Mumtaz Jehan. It is situated well by the river Yamuna with goats grazing nearby. Small but beautiful, it is worth visiting as... Been there, lovely building with beautiful glimpses of marble art. Other than that nothing much to excite. Getting there needs good 30 minutes. Can be avoided

I would recommend visiting the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah before going to the Taj Mahal so you can appreciate this tomb a little more. After visiting the Taj Mahal this does not look as impressive as it actually is. It is still very cool place to visit with much less people inside.

Lovely to visit a quieter historical building and be able to find somewhere to sit, relax and contemplate in relative peace. Not one to miss if you are in Agra!

Entrance doubled to now Rs200 - just stamped tickets to adjust the price from the original printed ticket at Rs100 Quite impressive much smaller & quieter place than the Taj Mahal. Several tomb rooms around the outside of the even more decorated central tomb area. Only a short time required to visit - 20 + minutes.
