Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The perfect way to see all the ghats in Varanasi is - boat Tour. Agents will come to you when you will be nearby ghats and negotiate with you, make sure that before riding. but again, to see ghats and their beauty, you must have this in Varanasi.
Another very old Varanasi ghat, Man Mandir Ghat is notable for its beautifully Rajput architecture (especially window casings ), earlier this was known as Somewswar ghat. Rajput king Man Singh of Jaipur built his palace there in 1600. An additional attraction, the observatory, was added in the 1730s by Sawai Jai Singh II.
The Jantar Mantar on the top adds a scientific layer to the ghat, which makes it stand out.

The main feature of this ghat is the observatory on the roof of the palace. Built by Man Singh in the early 18th century, it is incredibly accurate in its measurements. A more compact version of the ones in Jaipur and Delhi, and thoroughly fascinating.

The ghat gets its name from the palace of Man Singh, a king from Rajasthan that lies on it.
You can enter some parts of the palace. You get spectacular views from the roof.
One part of the roog contains an observatory (same model as the ones in Jaipur (an UNESCO World Heritage site) and Delhi but on a much smaller scale)
The ghat itself is a haven for many cows and bulls.
For Bengali travelers, an added bonus is a small temple just below the palace called Machli Baba's temple/ashram

Man Mandir Ghat is the first you come to north of the main ghat where the tourist boats leave from. Its upper levels have some beautifully carved balconies and windows in Rajput style. On the roof is an observatory from 1710 - built by Raja Mansingh. It costs $2 US or 100Rs to visit. The observatory is a small version of the Jantar Mantar you see in Jaipur. Rashmi Guest House is right next to this Ghat.

Man Mandir ghat is on the steps below of the Man Sigh Vedhshala(The Observatory like Jantar Mantar in Jaipur). Man Madir vedhshala was created by Raja Man Sigh who was interested in geometric calculations of the universe. The observatory has a sun dial and other instruments to measure the time, eclipse and etc.

Whoever built this temple must have been a famous artisan of his time, he will have magic in his hands only then this temple is so beautiful. Its design is incomparable.

Man Mandir Ghat is located adjacent to the famous Das-Ashwamedh Ghat and is accessible by walk over stairs from Das-Ashwamedh Ghat or from Godoulia.
Man Mandir Ghat is known for the Man Singh palace and the Sun Dial located at this place. It was built by Raja Savai Mana Singh (Maharaja of Jaipur) and now maintained nicely by Archeaological Survey of India.
Man Singh's palace is a magnificent building with exquisite, ornately carved windows opening towards the river. Its the beautiful view from the rooms. The building is now being transformed into a museum having detailed information about different ghats of Varanasi, many photographs, information about ancient calculations of time and space.. there's a lot that fascinated me here.
On the top of the floor of the palace is a Observatory (Sun Dials) built by Savi Ji Singh. This is one of the 5 places in india that has such observatories. The other ones are at Jaipur, Delhi, Mathura and Ujjain.
The best part is the crescent view of all the ghats of varanasi from the terrace of this building. This is the spot from which most of the promotional photos and videos of varanasi are being shot.. Not to be missed!
Open from Sunrise to Sunset. Entry by tickets

Dwasashamedh ghat is very crowded. This place is just beside that ghat with less crowd. If anybody wants to see the beauty of river ganga peacefully, he can consider this ghat.

Man Mandir Ghat was built in 1600 by Maharaja Man Singh. It's one of the many Ghat's that are possible to see while you walk by the river of Ganges or if you take the boat trip.
