Excellent by all standards. Small relative to Kashi Vishwanath but still big and spacious. The very serene and calming atmosphere in the temple. Folklore says it was established by Tulsidasji. It has beautiful Ram, Sita, and Laxman statues. Right in front of Ram is a statue of Hanumanji in the next hall..
Temple has space for your slippers and also a temple-owned shop for prasad and flowers inside the temple. So need not buy these stuff from shops outside. The quality of prasad in the temple is way better than what you get outside. Phones are not allowed inside the temple.

Everything was very organised starting from the entrance to the complete tour. The Mandir's people keeping your shoes or giving you locker won't ask for any specific amount to pay, they will say to pay according to your will. I really like that.

The sankat mochan hanuman temple i one of those temple which is very sacred. It is that temple where Tulsi das ji wrote Hanuman Chalisa. It is also believed that, Silver comes from the ground naturally. You can spot some of the silver on the black tiles around the temple which you are walking or doing prakaram or pradakshina. There is also a very old tree which stands still and you don't wan to miss that. After the terrorist attack on the temple, no electronical items like mobile phones, smart watches are allowed. You may carry your wallet. There is a locker facility at the entrance which you may use. We left everything in our car before going though.

Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is a Hindu temple and is dedicated to the Hindu God Hanuman. The deity was called Sankat Mochan which means he relieves from problems and therefore devotees come here to make offerings to ask for any kind of problem to be solved. It is not possible to bring cell phones or electronic devices which can be left outside in small shops that sell sweets and flowers

When around BHU campus, this is nearby. Cameras and purse not allowed inside. Left the items in the car. So no photos to upload by me. The parking for cars is limited space ( ample for 2 wheelers ), so can get tricky if you do not have a driver. The place definitely needs better maintenance and managing crowds. Took Darshan from a distance as it was crowded and no line management. We went in the late afternoon.

For a Hindu and more particularly to a believer of Lord Hanuman (the monkey god), nothing could be more important than to pay a visit to this temple. It is believed that if you visit this place and pray, all your troubles would be solved or in other words a place where Lord Hanuman would lead you to a path so that you can solve your troubles. The Place is well maintained and adequate security is placed. They don’t allow cameras, mobile phones to the temple area. however wallets are allowed.

The temple have the idol that is quite beautiful but different from the other which I used to see in routine. Camera not allowed and it will be better to have the Prasad from inside the temple after getting the slip. Inside the temple premise there is another temple of Lord Ram.
Overall very nice experience.

Sankat Mochan temple same with Durga temple? How much entrance fee for foreign tourist?
TIA
Written 20 January 2019
I don't think there is an entrance fee for both the temples. The temples aren't far from each other. At the Sankat Mochan temple you may pay a donation at the stands where they keep your bag and slippers. You may not be allowed to enter the Sanctum Sanctoum (inner core of the temple where the diety is) or take temple offerings (prasad) but you can still get pretty close.
Written 31 May 2019
Yes it remains close in afternoon from 12 noon to 4 pm. However close means you can not see the idol of Lord Hanuman as curtains are closed and there will be no priest to take your offering (prasad etc). But temple campus remains open. You can go, sit there, you may buy prasad, you may offer money in Danpeti etc.
