Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Got pickpocket by Arbian couple. (They said they from Saudi Arabia)
They approached by asking the way to Hallal. And then keep conversation by asking where i am from. And show me small bill of my country and ask for any other kind of bill just for taking photo. Thats how the guy lead me to pull out my wallet and money. And the guy grapped my money and i got it back. But somehow 300 dollars were gone just like magic eventhough i was watching. So just avoid and WATCH OUT!!!

There's only two stores with stuff in this mall, and a bunch of restaurants where you can eat so much food.
He was on his way to buy something for himself, and he ended up walking through the food court. It took literally five minutes, we drove back.

Took a walk around Samasta Lifestyle Village and was very impressed with the variety of restaurants and stores there. Bought a few items at two of the stores at reasonable prices. Also went for a wander at the fabulous hotel there. Wow, it looks a great place to stay. I would be very happy to hang out at Samasta Lifestyle Village on my next trip to Bali. Will review separately the restaurant I had dinner at. Highly recommend a visit. Very modern and upmarket.

Returned here with family members after an absence of nearly three years and the pandemic. Samasta remains a strategic place for a quick shopping trip if one was staying at Movenpick Hotel or if one was in and around Jimbaran.

That said, I feel that Samasta has somewhat lost its luster. Favorite tenants such as Bebek Bengil, Wahaha, and Gaya Gelato are all still there. For a small shopping center, however, it has lost a few shops in the pandemic most notably the large Sereh Supermarket and this has made it not as impressive as I once had found it. Hopefully Samasta will regain its mojo as the situation recovers.

We went several days for dinner and tried different restaurants. The kids loved it! Great space for playing around with water and shopping.

Samasta Lifestyle Village has a certain relaxed atmosphere up on a hill, the breeze is unmistakable and the welcome especially from Lamian Palace's friendly folks who have a dance to music outside their restaurant every now & then… a good spot to chill out and shop a little just a little, there's more eateries here :)

Samasta Lifestyle Village connects to the Movenpick Hotel Resort and has plenty of food variety - Fish & Co Japanese, Chir Chir South Korean chicken , Barrells SteakHouse, Balinese, Coffee, Gaya Gelato, Drink bar, Wahaha Pork Ribs etc without having to go far... But that's about it...

They had some light entertainment on the weekend but really there isn't much in the way of kids entertainment and the retail stores are few and far between with prices on the steeper side however the quality here is better, you get what you pay for.

In summary if your staying at the Movenpick resort then probably worth visiting and exploring but I wouldn't recommend it as a visit if you had to go out of your way.

This is a small mall. Doesn’t worth going.
However, it has several coffee shops, Restaurants and spa.
Anyway, don’t miss Movenpick hotel lobby view.

Ok the title is a bit harsh but you need to be aware that if you are a genuine traveller and look for the authentic in each country you visit then this is not it. A safe well-prepared collection of over-priced, but safe, restaurants. You won’t find ant typical Balinese fayre or atmosphere amongst these manicured, shiny display-style buildings, but well rehearsed, prescribed and frankly, limp entertainment amongst the branded food hall offerings and token gift shops. I passed through on various occasions to witness the scene, thankfully on my way to better and far cheaper experiences. Check out the “gourmet food supermarket” if you enjoy being hounded by numerous staff who believe that you could not possibly know how to pick an apple from the shelf.
Look it’s not a bad place or poor quality, but why travel to Bali to spend your well-earned holiday evenings here? It’s like looking for the nearest McDonalds in the South of France, why!??!!
If you like a prescribed holiday (such as a cruise ship perhaps) then this may be your thing, but within walking distance (or a very short cab ride) are restaurants like; La Brasserie, the Happy Cow, The Fat Chow, etc etc. Go to Bali and live a bit of Bali. Samasta is what it says on the tin.

Dear Submarinerpete, We thank you for your visit to Samasta Lifestyle Village and for taking the time to write us your review here on Tripadvisor. Apologies for any inconvenience caused during your time spent here but we regret that you did not stay longer to experience what we have to offer. We always aim to please a wide range of customers at Samasta Lifestyle Village hence we provide a unique variety of culinary experiences and entertainment in this quiet Jimbaran for travelers and Bali residents alike. From live music acts at Barrels and by the water fountain to the only Salsa Night party in Jimbaran that is at Sereh Cafe. Also on Sunday mornings anyone can do yoga with our certified instructor and in the evening there is a Balinese Dance performance from Jimbaran talented locals. All of these are happening every week and can be enjoyed for free! Having said that, we are definitely different than that fast food chain you mentioned ;) Anyway we do appreciate your comments and we hope you will have more fun here on your next visit! Best regards, Samasta Lifestyle Village Team
