Beach is bang on average for a touristy beach in Bali. Littered with rubbish and many beach front restaurants severing pitiful food. Amid the hustlers trying to sell you the same shell bracelets, and the midgets nipping at the soft flesh around your ankles, (bugs not people). The beach is just there, there was one redeeming quality that my eyes stumbled upon. An awesome giant pig (Sau) floating out in the ocean. I watched from the water as the pig rode the waves into shore far better than I could hope to do on a surfboard. Eventually the bloated behemoth rolled up the beach due to a push from a strong wave, we looked on in awe as dogs began to appear from nowhere and sniff the carcass out. At that point we decided to flee the terror inducing smell that began wafting from the sorry animal, our escape was swift. We washed our bodies in the chlorinated pool. And that was that.

If you plan to visit Bali for a nice beach experience, then just dont. Go to Lombok or elsewhere. We stayed 2 weeks at Jimbaran bay Beach resort and spa, which is an excellent hotel, but the Jimbaran beach is like all beaches we have seen in Bali, dirty and disgusting. Deach fishes, plastic waste and all kinds of dirt is in the water and at the beach. It will ruin your experience. Your money is spend better in Lombok or Gili Islands or elsewhere. Traffic is also really a bummer...will not come again to Bali. People are friendly, but it is simply too dirty and overcrowded. It mad us kind of sad....

It is embarrassing how the locals have let this place go. I have been to Bali a number of times but never to Jimbaran Bay despite all the good things I had heard and don’t anyone else bother. Always heard positive things but the beach heavily polluted. Food poor at best and severely overpriced. Even got COVID from the taxi driver on the way there. How a country can’t take pride in its local attractions is beyond me. If you are going to Bali stay in your 5 star resort, do some bartering, head to Bagus Watch and Waterbom but don’t waste your time in the polluted attractions surrounding. So sad.

there are many beaches around jimbaran bay, like muaya beach, Kedonganan beach etc.last week i stayed in jimbaran area, and visited muaya beach,it is a white sand beach, very beautiful beach.that day was a rainy day, when the rain stopped, the sky still a bit dark,so no sunset. anyway, walking along the beach is a good experience,i took many photos, and bought a grilled corn from a stall, but felt the taste not that good, compared to the first time, the corn this time a bit tasteless.beside this, you can see surfers surf here, also there is horse-riding activity on the beach.when the sun go down, people will have seafood dinner here,as a traveller,i also had my seafood dinner here.jimbaran seafood,a must try in Bali!

This place is not what is used to be couple of years back. The beach was not well kept, with garbage all over. There were urine smell near our tables and food was grossly overpriced and not even fresh and over cooked.

It seems the restaurant strategy now is turn the table quick and make quick money. the fire works in the evening is sporadic, pathetic.

Lastly, please. Do not patronise horse ride along the beach. That poor animal is dragging itself along.

Bring your money elsewhere where you can have better bang for your buck with local authentic cuisine instead of this tourist trap.

Touristy and overpriced seafood restaurants. Wouldn’t recommend. We had an extremely expensive lunch on the beach. Food very average, fish expensive and restaurant scruffy. We were dropped there by our taxi driver so felt obligated to eat there. Then we had to tip the band that turned up to sing…

The Jimbaran Bay beaches are nice with pretty sand. The beach spans from the airport to the Ritz. There’s a section near the Ritz called Cafe19 that is filled with food stalls. I recommend going here to experience dinner on the beach for sunset. Have reservations. Go early. It’s crowded with tourists and locals Seafood is sold live from tanks (freshest- best) and cooked to order.

Evening meal at tge Jimbaran Bay. Choose resturants near the end, seemed to have fresher fish and still in ice. Ordered fish, prawns, calamari, calms and satay, tasted so good and didn't quite get a perfect sunset but food was excellent and great experience.

On the whole the experience is very worth while. The sunset was magical and the food delicious (although quite expensive). The only problem is the rubbish in the beach. There is so much!!! It is really sad to see. The govt or the restaurants need to get to getter and clean up.

Needle seen on beach when my partner and I were walking on the beach barefooted. It wasn’t capped. It was an open needle amongst a load of trash on the beach. Filthy. And there were a lot of kids and beach joggers. Do not recommend. Beach is also infested with swarms of blood-sucking sandflies and mosquitoes. Avoid at all costs. Seafood by the beach was also not great.

However the pool at THE INTERCONTINENTAL is temp controlled and fantastic. It has sunset views. Also the Italian restaurant there was so good that we went again. I usually go for local food on vacation but this was exceptional.
