This class is an excellent way to experience a slice of Balinese life. You are picked up from your accommodation early morning and taken to a very clean food market where you are able to learn about the various foods and offerings used by Balinese people. Then you are taken to an open kitchen where you are carefully stepped theough... More

Many thanks to Irma and Wati for their cooking school! Everything went very smoothly. It wasn't as hands on as I expected. We walked around the market without interacting with any of the vendors. The breakfast provided was unexpected and plentiful. The actual cooking was fabulous. Again not as hands on as I was expecting so if you prefer to... More

This is a must do in Sanur. It is a fantastic insight to the traditional Balinese lifestyle and gives you great appreciation for their culture. I went with my mum, we were the only two in the class. The day started with a trip to the market where Wati showed us around and was very informative. We then went to... More

Tour of the market first but the ingredients already purchased. Irma and Wati are great hosts and explained everything very well. 11 in our group, a little crowded so ask how many in your class. Knives not great, blunt etc, and not enough beef for everyone in the beef rending for everyone. Overall a great experience.

We booked a cooking class with our whole family ages 4-59 and everybody enjoyed it. The day started with a tour around the Sanur Markets, where we got to see what we were cooking from and also try some choc dipped fluffy pancakes mmm. The cooking class started with a breakfast and then we got into it. The class was... More
