The Campuhan Ridge Walk is arguably the best known Ubud trek and with good reason. The sparse crowds and the aesthetically rich vistas remind one of why people from around the world come to Bali. The trail starts at the historical origin of Ubud, the confluence (or Campuhan) of the Wos Rivers.

The hike starts with a fairly steep set of steps but from their it is an easy to medium hike. There are some up and down places. The nice part is that the path is covered with flat stones for the entire length. There are...More

We really enjoyed this walk. Thankfully we saw that someone had send wear 'good shoes and do either early morning or later afternoon' and we did! Would agree with that statement and can be a little muddy and slippery. It would also be very hot...More

This was a beautiful walk, even in the rain! You are treated with lovely views and it is not very difficult.

The path is easy to find and follow (depending on the weather, there can be sections that are a bit muddy, but nothing unmanageable), there are plenty of places along the way where you can stop for a drink. The views are worth every drop...More

Nice to be away from the hustle and noise of central ubud. Has anybody found a way to cross the river that is east so you can walk back the other side through the paddy fields instead of going back the way you came?

Don't be put off. I thought beforehand it would be too much for me, but it wasn't. Take water, take your time and enjoy a nice lunch when you get to the top, watching the women in the paddy fields winnowing the rice.

It was raining throughout our trip there so we were glad that the sun was out on the last day. Despite having to check-out on that day, we went for the walk and were glad we did. It's a nice short walk suitable for most...More

Its an easy trekking path, with good view in some parts. Nothing too impressive but still good for a change after walking in big cities. Kids friendly too.

Took this walk on the basis of a guide book recommendation. Well worth it, short and easy with well marked route and decent footpath. Spa Karsai (?) was a good stopping point. The return loop was mainly on roads and not such good fun. To...More

Safe to walk alone at 6-7:00 AM? Many people suggest going early but as a female, I wonder how safe it is that early.

I can't see any danger with it. There are plenty of runners up that early to avoid the morning heat anyway!

My daughter and I will be there in June. We will have my 18 month old grandson with us. Is the path okay for a stroller? I can see from photos it's not exactly even but that's okay. Also is it more easy going one way than the other? We would probably get transport one way. Naturally we would go early morning if going out or late afternoon if coming back.

We stayed at the Lokha Spa, which is part way along, so we didn't survey the whole track. The towards-Ubud part is quite uneven but not too bad. A stroller with large wheels would be advisable, rather than a small-wheeled... More

Is this walk mostly flat or very hilly? Love walking but getting on in years and wondering if it's suitable for me

it is somewhat hilly. I am 54 with a bad knee and ankle - opposite sides and was not challenged. The heat was a bigger challenge
