I have seen a few Balinese dance shows in Ubud, the best one is at PELIATAN BALERUNG STAGE, performed on every Friday 7:30pm. Arrive 30 min earlier to secure better seats. After watching this show, you wouldn't be interested to watch at other places anymore....More

Things like this are obligatory. You're in Bali, so go to a traditional Balinese song and dance show. It was not very enjoyable, and the crowd clearly agreed. The comical part was that, 45 minutes in, the audience started leaving in droves. Part of the...More

Since it was raining the event was moved from the palace to a venue across the street, which was disappointing. Nevertheless we enjoyed the performance. The show was a bit uneven but stay till the end because the last two dances are among the best.

The music, the performance, the dance, the costumes, all is enticing! Some people complained about not understanding the story. But the whole plot from start to finish is described in the leaflet you get with the ticket. I read it as the performance was occuring...More

The palace provides a great backdrop with it's beautiful entrance as an integral part of the performance. In case of rain or palace has some function venue shifts to area in front of palace which has also good set up. In our case venue changed...More

This show is great for a taste of real Balinese culture, the dancing is fantastic and the music is hypnotic and intense, albeit quite hard to sit through a full 90 minutes. Well worth going unless an hour and a half of dissonant, arhythmic gong...More
