We had a truly fabulous day with Ketut and his crew on a downhill adventure through beautiful Bali- jungles, waterfalls, rice patties and more!! we couldn’t recommend this bike tour enough- it was the perfect blend of adventure, a bit of challenge, incredible beauty and lots of downhill for pure enjoyment- Ketut planned the perfect route for me, my husband and our daughter (age 11) - lots of stops for fruit on the way and ending with a delicious lunch at his beautiful home. This is an experience not to be missed while you are in Bali!

Great authentic adventure! The EASY track is recommended with kids as a family trip. A lot of fun! We started with a ride through the forest, went around villages, rice tarraces, visited a waterfall and ended up at local family dinner. The easy track is 99% down the hill so no excuses ;)

Wayan is an excellent bike tour guide. Soup to nuts one of the best experiences you can have in Bali. It starts with a drive part way up one of the volcanoes and you can choose a tour based on your skill level or the tour offered that particular day. I did very different rides on two different days. First time was a ride through mellow terrain and the second tour was through world class mountain biking trails, rice fields and Balinese villages depending. Lunch on the first tour was an excellent Balinese buffet at his family estate and the second was bbq fish at the beach followed by a swim. Amazing!

I love the sights and sounds of Bali and of the busy town of Ubud and its environs, but I was desperate to explore properly and experience something authentic . Finding this tour gave me this experience in spades and was the stand out event of my holiday. We were taken by a small mini bus with mountain bikes in the back to a high point inland with views of enormous volcanoes in the distance and the lovely lush paddy fields in the basins below. There were still some tourists milling around... but then our lovely guide Ketut (one half of the twin brothers who run this operation) and his delightful nephew kitted us out with head gear etc and we set off on our bikes led by Ketut through thick jungle on a tiny track- sometimes it was a bit steep but we just walked those bits. Mostly it was fine and really enjoyable . Apart from the odd small -holding with gentle bulls, chickens and always friendly dogs we were alone. We stopped every so often to taste never seen before fruit (the wonderful snake fruit stood out for me with its scaly skin) or to see a group of villagers carving bamboo wind chimes, but none of this was for tourists. It was just gentle Bali life. As we made our way down the 32km tracks that took us ALL DOWN HILL (which I have to say was one of the highlights for me and my friend Lisa!!) we traversed lush paddy fields, incredible hidden waterfalls, bamboo forests with never a tourist in sight (quite something for the most tourist inhabited island I have ever been to) and always with the powerful and imposing sight of the volcano in the background. The ubiquitous intricately carved temples which are as numerous as houses and inseparable from the lives of everyone, became jet black in colour as all around us was volcanic rock. It was like being in a dream- quiet except for the sounds of the jungle and gushing water and the odd dog bark. After about 20km we started joining small roads again which eventually led to Ketut's family compound. We met his wife and one of his children and had what can only be described as a banquet - amazing food and white mango juice. We finished off the day wandering onto the deserted jet black sands of the local beach. What a day. What made it so special was that some of the money we paid to Ketut helps support several of the tiny communities that we saw and in particular helps educate about sustainability and operate plastic clean ups in the areas around Bali that can get overwhelmed by rubbish that isn't recyclable. It really was a great experience all round. Ketut drove us back to our rooms in Ubud and we flaked out, exhausted but happy. Thank you so much for everything .
