Lovely setting to see and photo your fill of Bali's monkeys. They aren't shy, so you can get lots of close-ups, but follow all the rules (posted clearly at multiple points) if you want to avoid getting harassed by the simians. We walked just 50m...More

We entered this forest at around 10am and spent about 1.5hrs inside. The rules are clear and repeated and posted often - don't stare down a monkey, don't touch even if they touch you and do not feed them. It is obvious from the outset...More

Visited this place while on our day tour of Ubud. Entrance was IDR100,000 per pax (about AUD$10) and you get to walk around a reserve and there's hiking trails too. The monkeys are pretty entertaining but can get very territorial about food. Interesting experience but...More

It isn't really a forest. I was expecting it to be a little less structured and more rural feeling but that didn't stop us from having a great time. It is a beautiful place. But what isn't beautiful in Bali? Upon entering after paying there...More

757 monkeys (never more than 760 we were told). Delightful stroll through a well maintained park. Don't stare the monkeys directly in the eyes. It distresses them and they can behave badly.

This is such a wonderful experience, the monkeys are free to roam, and are of good health. You will not be disappointed to this visit as they are in their own environment and not in captivity. Don't wear sunglasses or carry food, as they will...More

I normally stay away from zoos and I was glad to learn that this was on their (the monkeys) terms. It's their house and you're just visiting. The surroundings are beautiful and it's more to the place than just monkeys. You can easily spend a...More

Lovely seeing the monkeys roaming free and being as inquisitive as they want to be with people. The grounds withing the Monkey forest as stunning as with most of Bali and traditional architecture is everywhere to be seen.

Sorry but I don’t remember. It was a lot cheaper than I anticipated. The website says IDR50,000 per adult and IDR 40,000 per child.

1 hour is enough, 2 hours is good. Tickets available at the entrance. Better visit first thing in the morning.

I indeed depends on yourself how long you would stay inside. We did the tour in less then one hour and did not rush. For me that was long enough the see the park, the enormous trees and many monkeys. We went in the morning... More
