Lovely temple tucked in amongst the hustle and bustle of Malang. You would never know it was there! Really beautifully kept within a walled enclosure with neatly manicured garden and sympathetically placed ruins of what was once a grand temple. Some relics are well preserved and deities such as Parvati can be made out. There is a small place to... More

This ruin isn't very large, but it has a few impressive statues with some nice detail, and the temple itself is fun to climb and explore. It's worth the trip out from Malang or Surabaya if you're at all interested in the temples or art of the area. Don't forget the two dwarapala statues a couple hundred meters up the... More

Get a good guide via a local tour operator. The history and cultural relevance are truly amazing. Visiting here helps one understand how the world was once connected via trade routs of more that just merchandise; the result was the spreading of ideas, religions, and cultures. It binds us. If you seek to "understand" instead of only to "see" this... More

This temple is a very old temple in Malang. Its a small place. Great to see this ancient temple and its well maintained. Prayers are still done here. Recommended if you like history.

Easy to find and surrounded on three sides by by houses, it is a small grassed area with a well maintained garden. No information available so read up first. Don't miss the two massive dwarapala statues 200 metres further down the road.

Candi Singosari is one of many temples (candi) that scattered around Malang. There's much to be told about the history of the temple, however, not much detail can be found.

Back from Mout Bromo we stoped at Candi Singosari just to kill the time. There is not much to see, so broken parts of statues are lined in a row behind the entrance building.
