If you confuse to find a good quality of Batik, you may go to Solo Batik Center called Kampoeng Batik Laweyan, its at alley and easy to find. Price is consider higher than in normal market (Klewer), but you will right to go there.

There are some houses here that sells batik. The price was affordable ranging from 100K IDR to over 500K IDR. If you are in Solo, and want to buy batik clothes comfortably, avoiding the cramps of batik market, then this area is a must visit....More

I visit this place for work. It is a village where the people had batik as their main job. Selling batik, making batik, and they also accept workshop for tourists that wanted to know and learn how to make batik.

This is an area consist of batik houses. I went there around 4pm and some of the houses already closed. If you plan to visit, it's better to come in early afternoon when they are already up and active. Good luck!!
