The scenery of its tea plantation and mount Kerinci as backround is very filmic and outstanding.. look like a calendar panorama picture. Fresh air complemented with cool breeze temperature will make visitor comfortable to stay. Add to tea, Kerinci plateau also well known for its coffee, cinnamon, cloves and vegetables export to Jambi city. One point to be trully considered... More

Along long long journey on private car (6-7hours), I am excited with view of mountain range from Padang, Muara Labuh and Solok Selatan till Kersik tuo. In october, It frequently rains a lot but the view and cool weather with sometimes misty take your breath away. If you go by public transport , only bus, taking more than 1day. I... More

Mount Kerinci is the highest volcano in Indonesia and the highest Indonesian peak outside Papua (Irian Jaya). Much of the Kerinci Seblat National Park is located in the province of Jambi but the mountain itself is on the border with West Sumatra. We are listing it as being in Jambi because local people regard Kerinci as a region of Jambi... More

I have 4 day visited there (including travel 2 days), I arrived at Padang around 8 or 9 am, and guide waiting me with My name Tag. So, I can say Mt is very far from airport, take time around 7-8 hrs from airport to Homestay. My guide name is "Rapani", he is very nice guy, friendly and also his... More

On Day 1, we spent 7 hours to reach Shelter 3 before resting the night. Took 1+ hour to hit summit. Advised to start your summit assault earlier to catch sunrise as it is v v tiring. We could hardly catch our breath. The journey back to Shelter 3 was steep so be careful. Overall, a tougher climb for us... More

Mr.Rapani is our group tourist guide for a few years. He's guided us for hiking different mountains with his team. We can't say every trip is perfect because of the weather, time and energy, he and his team help us a lot for every trip, really appreciate them. As the hiker, let just enjoy every moment in the mountain, all... More

Kerinci is another good volcano hiking. The trail before camp site is purely jungle trekking. Campsite is quite small on shelter 2 and 3. The peak is quite nice – big crater to enjoy the view. I have very bad experience for hiking at Kerinci with one agency. I contacted the tour owner for solo-trip, which I paid 5,500,000 IDR... More

its an awesome mountain! it`s easy to reach the basecamp. I recommend that you coming from Padang instead of Jambi. easier transportation. You can booking a transportation from Padang, and just say you need to stop at Mt.Kerinci. Done! Its about 6-7 hours. The trekking is hard though. If you want an awesome trek. Its for you. The view at... More

We climbed Mt. Kerinci on March 2016 with Rapani ( the guide) . It was a fantastic experience and it's very beautiful Mt. It has 3,posts and after post 3 you will see 3 shelters in sequence. Distance between shelter 1 to 2 is long but easier that shelter 2 to 3 ; Heavy rain during climb is challenging. It's... More
