Yes part of the beach is property of the resort and it is truly magnificent. There were locals around so I don't agree with some of the other reviews we meet some kids that were fishing and locals that were walking horses.

The scenery is amazing, really paradise. But that is where it ends. The food was below standard and the service was good. Staff is friendly, but during our stay we did not meet the management which is strange as it is such a small resort. The resort is overpriced for what you are getting. We have been staying in high top... More

Nihiwatu beach is only for people that are staying at expensive Nihiwatu resort, all other persons including locals can't enter the beach. We were visiting some beaches around Nihiwatu beach and got to see it from a distance, the area around is really nice. In my opinion it's a shame that someone can close a beach and have it only... Beautiful clean golden sand with waves breaking onto the reef and also the beach itself . So impressive in a busy world to find such a place.

Just a perfect spot for a swim or a morning walk, can't be beat at sunset for beautiful colours. A must do while at Nihiwatu

The whole Nihiwatu experience is one not to be missed, the sheer remoteness of the location makes it so special.
