Old Jaffa has some lovely restaurants down at the harbour or a few minutes walk in the old city itself. Plenty of art studios and shops. A few hours can pass by in Cassiopeia restaurant at Kikar Kdumim 10. The restaurant have a few window and small balcony tables that overlook the sea. Good wine and hummus too. Old Jaffa... More

Walking to Jaffa was nice as we walked alongside the water. The Old City is very small and will not take a lot of time, but it is enjoyable

One of the best areas of the city to wander. Through investment and the loving care of its artist residents, this ancient city has become a place where art and history collide. Don't miss the beautiful art studios all around including Yoram Gal's at 19 Netiv Hamazalot

The Old City of Jaffa is entertaining and interesting any time of the year. In addition to the lovely old buildings and historic view of the sea (think Jonah and the Whale, or Perseus and Andromeda), go there for the beautiful jewelry stores (particularly silver--not like your typical tourist shopping). Great restaurants, too. You can spend a half day or... More

We walked from Hayarkon 48 along the beach to the small hill, and the view was just fantastic. With its vivid blue skies and perfect shoreline, it was a perfect spot for a picnic and post-card like pictures.

Lots of people traveling to Israel for the first time skip Tel Aviv but we really liked it. There is a free Tel Aviv tour that is great; although they constantly state that it is good to pay $20 per head for the tour (not really free). Otherwise great with lots of history including St. Peter's church, Napoleon trivia, excavated... More

I love it! Great walk from the Tayelet in Tel Aviv. Beautiful to walk around the old port area, up on the hill, nice galleries. Downtown by the clock, go to Abulafia bakery, or their Shawarma place across the street. Avoid Dr. Shakshuka, tourist trap with lousy shakshuka!

Beautiful place! Don't forget to stop by the Flea Market and Aboullafia bakery. The port is under renovations now.
