What a great place to stroll and find a restaurant any time of the day. Lots of cool shops and a market place make Jaffa the "in" place to be.

A very known touristic attraction. An old artistic quarter with many alleys and art galleries. With great views of the Mediterranean Sea and Tel Aviv to the north . Restaurants and cafes in old buildings . A big square with artists selling handmade art and...More

Historically rich and visually exciting, Jaffa offers much to please its many tourists. I highly suggest walking the beach or boardwalk from Tel Aviv-an hour at best. The old city of Jaffa beckons in the distance. We fortunately hit a sunny, cloudless day. It felt...More

We took a tour of historic Jaffa and were informed, entertained and amazed throughout. For me it brought much of the history and my limited knowledge of the Old Testament to life. Hard to identify highlights, because it was equally good for the entire tour....More

We went for a morning stroll their with our 8 month old. Were pleased by the shade the nearly sutuatied buildings provide, sounds of chirping birds, aromas coming out of shops, and many many cats:) most of the time I had to carry a stroller...More

Jaffa is so cool. There’s amazing history - it’s been a working city for ~5,000 years. Walking around you see remnants of ages past alongside development. It’s an artistic hub, fabulous food, great shopping, interesting people. You cannot visit Tel Aviv without exploring Jaffa.

We took a city bus from Tel Aviv to Jaffa, it was easy and inexpensive. There are walking tours from the clock tower, but they are quite boring for children, and those not really into how religion has evolved from BC to AD. The old...More

Jaffa is a great place for an afternoon visit. We walked there from our hotel in Tel Aviv. We visited the market and the wishing bridge. It was a great way to enjoy the sunshine and enjoy lunch.

If you keep kosher, then the only open restaurants are in the better hotels; If you do not keep kosher then there are lots of places open - in Jaffa we like 'Hazakan v'HaYam' (translates as 'Old Man and the Sea')
