I wandered into this little place when I was looking for the White Mosque - but so glad it did. It is a real find. Its simplicity is special.

A seemingly modest building is an excellent example of a first century synagogue which also represented the local meeting place. A well trained guide will also explain the history, customs and the local Gospel significance of the building.

Within walking distance of Main Street. Minimal furnishings but gives good idea of an early synagogue. A good place to take a group if you want a rest and a place to talk.

I guess this place has great historical importance, but as far as the architecture goes, there are far more impressive places in Nazareth.

The site of a medieval synagogue. Simple stone building, which is lovely in it's own way. Though in truth it didn't hold my attention or interest as the other sites in Nazareth.

This was the high of my day in Nazareth but not because of the building itself but the history related to Jesus. Expect a small church that is quiet. A good place for reading, prayer, reflection or journaling. We arrived the doors were shut so...More

This church is hidden away off one of the streets in the souk. It was open to everyone and is a beautiful stone building.
