Nothing wrong with it being a replica, but there was no flowing water, and the upkeep of it, or lack thereof, showed that there was no reverence for this important site. There was even grafitti on the monument!
So blessed to visit this place in Nazareth, it’s a small church and easier to travel to, visited here on Sunday,it was very peaceful
You can fill holy water from inside church, few shops around the church,where you could buy empty bottles
It’s a fountain with no water in a busy street, you have to find a parking spot (not likely) and brave traffic to get close enough for a picture... some people might find it worth it (not me).

The square its located in is commercialized now but if you are interested in the story of the annunciation; its a must see. It’s a quick stop, not a whole lot to see or do. I can highly recommend the restaurant directly behind the well.

You come to Nazareth and want to take in the historic sites, but pass this one up. It is iconic for this town, but be warned it is dirty, neglected and there is no water in it, nor has their been in it for years....More

No unfortunately. May I add it’s a steep walk up hill from church and really nothing to see as now surrounded by shops and cafes....nice to visit but on reflection not really worth it . Sorry. Also if I had time again I... More

Also if I had time again I would have waited for the 4 hours to see star beneath church of nativity ....regret.
