Nothing wrong with it being a replica, but there was no flowing water, and the upkeep of it, or lack thereof, showed that there was no reverence for this important site. There was even grafitti on the monument!

So blessed to visit this place in Nazareth, it’s a small church and easier to travel to, visited here on Sunday,it was very peaceful You can fill holy water from inside church, few shops around the church, where you could buy empty bottles Highly recommended

It is a small building with a well and probably would not be noticed if it were not named Mary’s well. It is at least worth driving by. Our tour bus pointed it out, but we didn’t stop.

Well, a dry one anyway. Very little to see really. The water supply have been cut off from the Orthodox Church behind. The area is great for a drink or meal. Very busy.

It’s a fountain with no water in a busy street, you have to find a parking spot (not likely) and brave traffic to get close enough for a picture... some people might find it worth it (not me). You’ve seen all there is to see...More

The square its located in is commercialized now but if you are interested in the story of the annunciation; its a must see. It’s a quick stop, not a whole lot to see or do. I can highly recommend the restaurant directly behind the well.

I suggest you start at the grotto in the basilica and walk down the road to the well of Mary. These two landmarks are part of both Catholic and Orthodox traditions and walking between the two is a beautiful way to compliment the two with...More

You come to Nazareth and want to take in the historic sites, but pass this one up. It is iconic for this town, but be warned it is dirty, neglected and there is no water in it, nor has their been in it for years....More
