A vert interesting and well restored place to visit for those tracing biblical sites of interest and this site commemorates the healing of the demonised man by Jesus.

This is the place where Jesus is thought to have thrown the legion of demons from the man with unclean spirits into the pigs. The pigs subsequently ran down the steep hillside into the Sea of Galilee and drowned.

Not a major attraction compared to other places around the Sea of Galilee, but well worth a visit and away from the crowds. This is the place that commemorates the miracle of the Gadarene swine.

It was uncovered as a road was being put in around Lake Kenneret [Sea of Galilee] . Interesting layout, nice place for a short visit, walk up the hill to see more of the ruins.

We visit Kursi each time we travel in the north of Israel. It is one of three cities mentioned in the Bible where Jesus taught in the Galilee area. It is totally constructed of Basalt or volcanic rock. The scenes depicted in the synagogue show...More
