The story of the discovery and restoration of the ancient boat is amazing. To be able to see an actual boat, not a replica, of the first century is great.

Located on the grounds of a kibbutz, our tour began with a short, but slightly dated, video of the finding, saving and preserving of 2,000 year old boat. To have a wooden item from the time Jesus walked the earth was truly worth seeing. This...More

Wonderfully maintained and it is amazing that Jesus could have sailed in one like it. It reminded me of the Mary Rose.

I never expected the facility to be as nice as it was for a single attraction. Huge entry with ac opened up to a large gift shop, food area and a video presentation next to the boat from 2000 years ago. You wont spend a...More

Seeing the boat was interesting but do not go out of your way to see it. It’s not expensive with that being said so it was fine.

Worth visiting and seeing the remains of this Jesus era boat that was found. Short video. Good gift shop and snack bar. Most lake boat tours either start or end here.

The museum is not large but worthwhile. The fishing boat that was excavated and restored is quite interesting. The boat has been authenticated to be over 2,000 years old. No claim to be tied to Jesus but it was definitely from his era. We visited...More

As a local tour guide and archaeologist I highly recomend visiting this unique piece of ancient archaeology. No more guessing, an authentic boat from the time of Jesus of Nazareth. Now you can imagine him and 12 more men sailing on one of those. They...More

This is a nice little village by the shores of Lake Galilee. I think this is actually a resort village and closed during the winter, because it was dead when I visited. In truth, I really only came here to stand on the shores of...More
