Hidden Gem and one of the best views
we came actually for the spice garden, the road is very narrow at the end and stiff. They have a very nice small restaurant with local Creole Food. The food is really nice tasting und the atmosphere up there breath taking with a view you never forget. Visit the place for both reasons, the spice garden and the beautiful tasty restaurant. worse the drive there

    A nice spot
We enjoyed visiting this garden. It was a bit pricier than expected at about £10 per adult (or over 11 years old). Upon arrival, we were given a map and numbered list of all the plant names. The garden is small but laid out in loops along the mountain side, so some light hiking is needed! There are lots of interesting plants, but unfortunately, descriptions of them to be lacking. Many plants weren't in flower so we didn't get to see their fruits/seeds etc. The last section is a steeper hike to view the tropical area. We like hiking so enjoyed this, although the plants weren't as specialised. The garden could benefit from adding plant descriptions, or even maybe a staff demonstration of how to use some of the native plants. Overall, we enjoyed our visit.

Happy accident that we ended up here
We really enjoyed our unplanned visit to the spice garden. We were just looking a way to spend some time prior to our flight leaving and we ended up at this garden by chance. We loved it! The grounds are beautiful and there is a lot of info available (if you know who to ask) about the various plants and their uses that can be found within the garden. We also loved the restaurant on site. The food was incredibly delicious and fresh. My husband loved the tuna salad, said it was the best he ever had. I had the Malibu salad (papaya and chicken) and it was equally scrumptious. We also had the chicken masala, which is not the traditional Indian masala one generally thinks of, it was more of a chicken curry, but my god was it good! All the herbs and veggies come fresh from their gardens. The hot chili…so good! And don’t forget the homemade ice cream. We tried nutmeg, lemongrass and coconut. I’d never think to have a lemongrass ice cream, but it works!

    Beautiful and Spicy ;)
Beautiful garden with huge variety of plants. Landscape is very nice and all the important plants & trees are marked very well, with relevant info provided in the guide map. Added attraction of Giant Tortoise, and Rabbits added joy to our animal loving child. Entire place is very well maintained and quite picturesque. Definitely a must visit if you're in Seychelles

A delightful experience. Particularly if you are into botany - herbs, spices, fruits and plants of all kinds.

Lovely to meet and speak with the owner and manager Micheline George and son Roland.

And a quality fresh produce lunch. Can recommend.

We had a great time and learned a lot in this fascinating place. However there is a massive “BUT”. The caged animals are extremely neglected and appear to be living in appalling conditions. My wife complained to the owner who told her in no uncertain terms that her comments were unwelcome and deeply irritating. Well sorry about that but we find cruelty to animals not only irritating but deeply offensive. Animal welfare is more important than your extensive profits.

Beautiful gardens and views. Really enjoyed it until, and this is why I have given it only 2 stars, I came across the appalling conditions that I found Guineapigs and rabbits housed. The animals looked clearly malnourished and unwell, open wound on one piggies back. No separation of the sexes , babies galore. I raised my issues with the owner , who showed no compassion or interest in the animals well being. Left feeling desperately sad.

A beautiful garden with a lot of indication on the different species existing there, a good welcome and a good vue point. I learned a lot about their plant

It’s nice when you are interested in tropical plants and trees. You will discover some things that are new to you. Wish there would be more information about each plant, as without internet you cannot look it up.

In the south of the island there are limited attractions. Try and download a Google map first as it’s not perhaps the best signposted
Lots of bushes, tortoises. The blue walk is steep the rest why not just wander around it’s not too big to get lost
I would kinda like to see less tortoises in larger areas as they don’t have too much personal space but I am no expert.

The manager and owner were particularly helpful to me on a matter which I needed to get sorted out calling on their telephone to assist. Much appreciated
